Janice summed it up with, "I thoroughly enjoyed it!"

That from her and I agree means, for us, no inclination
to parse things out. Just kick back and enjoy another spin.

Nice production all the way around and your vocal and
guitar performances are excellent.

Conga loop?

Cool dark vibe. Outstanding electric guitar work. Lyrics and vocals are right on. Band keeps it all moving forward nicely.

Hello CaptainMoto,

Very sober composition with deep lyrics. Your less prominent voice reinforces the words you say. The lead guitar lends itself well to the relaxed atmosphere. Pleasant composition.

I can hear the Doors references the others have mentioned. Great composition. Man, that guitar is something else!

This is one fine blues tune. In fact, the whole album is coming along so well. What a great feel, Captain. It's a slow-motion walk with head slowly swinging back and forth as if waiting for the reaper.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Sounds like something that could have been on a Doors album, sort of a Riders on the Storm kind of groove.

I dig your vocal, nice playing too.

Good song Captain, enjoyed!

Hi Captain,

I see I am a bit late with my comment on your song, but here is my comment.
Almost everyone compared your song with Santana, Doors and some others, but I noticed the Doors have the upperhand.
Well, it is certainly not the BeeGees, but it doesn't matter where you can compare it with, it is your song and I liked it. I like that simple chordprogression and that relaxed voice of yours. It reminded me of my own time playing these kind of chords)on my guitar for hours. Well... not that long, but it felt good doing it, but I didn't dare doing that on stage. Now I regret that...

So, I enjoyed this song and performance very much, captain!

Hans
BTW: I think it's a mix of the Doors (vocals) and Santana...

Thanks for the in depth comparison.
I'm kind of a simple guy.
Most of my songs are bluezy or blues based so, I tend to keep the progressions rather simple.
I really enjoy listening to the old blues masters like Muddy Waters, he could make a few chords sound like magic.

Hi Captain Moto!
Sometime back I must have checked out your music on Spotify and started following you.
Every Friday Spotify publishes a Release Radar and it has a nice selection of new music that they think that I would enjoy.

I often listen to this playlist while I am at work.
I have the volume turned down real low.....Just enough for some company.

So yesterday I had the playlist on and as I'm working I thought.."Hey that sounds like the BB count-in side stick".

and I checked and your track FELL NO RAIN was playing!
Ha! my ears are tuned to the BB sound!

BTW I also really like your song. The opening chords made me think of Carol King's "To Late Baby"

I really liked this! I also got a Doors vibe from this. Great vocal and mix but that guitar took it over the top for me.

Excellent work!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
