Hi,
I decided to buy Superior Drummer 3. Have no idea yet how I will like it. I am at least one and one half hours into the download and don't know how much longer it will take. This is a very large program. I am guessing but well over 200 gigs. I have fast internet.
I have the space, but this is something to take into consideration if you buy this software. I will comment after I have used it for a while.

If I recall correctly the massive size is due to the multiple microphones. There was talk of a way to install within the multiple mics. But this was a long time ago...

Hi Dan,
Yes, other than just the basic drum program there are five libraries. One is the basic sound library at 40 gigs plus four microphone libraries. Those mic libraries are a big part of the reason this software can be made to sound more like live drum recordings. The fact that the software is pre mapped to several midi drum kits like Roland V-Drums TD-17KV Electronic Drum Set is also a nice feature.
I am looking at some videos while this is downloading. Pretty serious piece of software.
There are some enhanced features for taping in a beat to find samples that look like it will save hours of time auditioning looking for the correct thing.
May not get much sleep tonight...lol

I skipped a couple of libraries because of all the space as well. I love the tool overall though. Very customizable.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
