Not a style of music that I would normally listen to - unless I was in a German Beer House. Then it's the only music required...

This is well done (to my ear). Mix is excellent. Nice use of claps and shouts, too.

Just about the right length to chug that stein. smile

I am not familiar with this kind of music but I have to say that I was stunned by how it mixes melancolic vibes and strenght! I really think that you captured perfectly the spirit of the people from that region! Very original and excellent mix ! Loved it!

Floyd, Torrey, Angelo..thanks for checking it out...it’s called “Klezmer” music and it is Eastern European music in a Jewish tradition.

Fun song - well done! Love the contrast between the two parts.

It's good to hear this kind of variety on the forum.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Tano,

nothing ventured, nothing gained. Not the kind of music I know anything aout, but it sure sounds well-done to me!

Take care,

Yep,
music built around the piano accordion so not too old..a well tempered PA translates well. I reckon there'd have been some ace microtonal Klemzer in the button Accordion days. celebratory music but, as Crossroads/Stephan suggested, not likely in a beer hall...Adolf would've objected and the Brownshirts would have moved them on at the very least ensuring that the form held no roots in modern Germany.
It's making a comeback in it's trad form...Leonard Cohen occasionally used the style if not the full trad instrumentation. I don't know if he was descended from Ashkenazis or not.
Nice run through of the sounds of the style Tano man with a fun progression to follow.

Hello Tano Music,
It's good to have brought the accordion back to the fore. Furry must be delighted. It's very catchy music and it puts us in a good mood. Well done.

Kindly regard

Dero13, Stefan, David, Rayc...thanks....I was waiting for someone to point out that traditional Jewish folk music isn't likely to be found in a German beer-hall!! I constructed this by using the BIAB style, then searching for "klezmer midi" melody files, found a couple and then used them as the basis for the lead instruments in order to get the feel and scale structure that is typical.

Like I said, not music that I listen to.
But anything with a Polka Accordion in it sounds like Beer Music to me.
My bad.

Well done and very appealing.
Heard some klezmer music at a folk festival I went to some years ago.
This sounds nicely authentic.

Wow loved this. I had to google Klezmer-style music to see where it came from. This is very cool old European style music. When the song picks up makes you want to dance

Irrespective of the origin to us it sounds like some of the tracks
we've heard in German and Bavarian travelogs that we are fond of.

So, hey, it's cinematic!

The arrangement and use of BiaB along with your progressions
are excellent.

Janice said it gave her "happy feet." Always a good thing!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
