A couple of things I'm noticing:
1. Startup CPU load is much higher than with the 32 bit bit version of 2020. Running as high as 60-70% on startup before settling down after 2-3 minutes of no activity. 2020 32 bit ran about 20% for a few seconds.
2. Dramatic jump in CPU load when changing songs. Goes from 2-3% to as high as 60%. 32 bit 2020 maybe jumped to 10-12% before settling down after a few seconds.
3. Most concerning of all, 64 bit 2021 seems much less stable with ASIO drivers. MME runs fine, but using my MOTU ASIO drivers I'm getting hang ups and not being able to change sounds on my external synths. Also seeing much higher latency on the 64 bit version of 2021. Have deleted and reinstalled the MOTU ASIO drivers with most up to date drivers............no change.
4. Not seeing any of these issues with 64 bit 2021 BIAB, just with RB.
Anybody else seeing these?

Tried to start 32 bit 2021 RB build 3, just hangs up! Can't even load a song.

RB 2021 is only 64 bit - or so I thought. Or has it changed?

Jeff, Bob is correct. RealBand 2021 only has a 64 bit program. The 32 bit program is likely from 2020. Also the last 2020 RealBand build is build 5. You can find the build 5 update +++ HERE +++

OK, that makes sense. The 32 bit program that I was picking up is in the RB folder and it is the 2020 v5 program...good catch guys! Still hangs up but I suppose its pulling 64 bit extras from the 2021 program also in the same folder so it won't work at all. So that makes a lot of sense and it's time to move on to the main problem...the 2021 v3 build and ASIO drivers.
I'm running it with Admin privileges. Still seeing high CPU usage on startup and when loading songs. Hold on a minute....
There's the problem!! The latest Windows update reduced performance levels down from my High Performance settings to the Balanced setting. Thanks MS, you got me again!!!
Seem to have the ASIO problem figured out this morning too. Since I'm running multiple "hard" synths, it seems to matter which MIDI driver are listed first, second, third etc on the input and output drivers setup of RB.
Never paid too much attention to the order that these drivers were listed but in my system in RB it seems to make a difference even though I'm running all MIDI Ins and Outs through a patch bay and not using any Thru's.
Live and learn huh?

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
