+++ David Anthony Rice +++ (born June 8, 1951 - December 25, 2020) was an American guitarist and bluegrass musician. He was an influential acoustic guitar player in bluegrass, progressive bluegrass, newgrass and flattop acoustic jazz. He was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame in 2013. +++ This +++ is a Facebook post by musician / singer Ricky Skaggs. Finally, Tony Rice lived in Reidsville, NC which is just a few miles from where I live.

This is very sad news. Tony has been my favorite guitarist for the past 40 years.
His playing inspired me to take up bluegrass guitar. He will be missed but his music will live on.
RIP Tony Rice

Man, I hate to hear that. So much great guitar over so many years. He brought us bluegrassers a deep appreciation of different genres and in particular the more jazzy collabs with David Grisman, aka Dawg Music.
RIP Tony.

I've been moved by all of the tributes to Tony Rice online. They range from bluegrass, jazz, country, blues, rock and even pop.
Tony redefined what the acoustic guitar is capable of producing and we all are better for it. Regardless of genre!
Edit: I'm kind of surprised at the lack of response on the forums about Tony's death. After all, he wasn't just a bluegrass guitarist, ... he was a master musician on his chosen instrument.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
