I really like the vocals and lyrics. The mixing is good as well, but personally I'd like a bit more punch in the chorus to clearly differentiate it from the verse. Will definitely listen to more of your songs.

This has the right feel for an Amazing Rhythm Aces tune. I was drawn in right way and enjoyed it from start to finish. Janice nailed the 'right' chord progression for the Chorus.

Three great contributors to our forum ... and to the magic of music. Everything to like and nothing not to. Leon offered a terrific lyric and Janice to it soaring heights as Bud assembled all the parts in his meticulous style.

I always have high hopes when I click onto any of your songs and you always exceed my hopes and anticipation. Killer song and performance.

Happy New Year to the three of you.

Alan

Wow this was a perfect lyric for Janice. Awesome backtrack and chord progressions. Perfect vocal Janice. Peters guitar was also perfect song. Tone has just the right amount of bite to really accent the song. Well done. Excellent production Bud. Love the way you set the instruments so they are so clear and identifiable.

You guys keep blowing me over with one super song after another.

As usual an outstanding Janice vocal, Peter's guitar leads, and Bud's production skills range supreme on another winner.

Leon, those were some great lyrics!

Janice really has a golden voice. It fits so well with the other instruments. This song is a great way to start the year with the groovy rythm. I could really picture the story while listening to the tune. Really enjoyed the guitars as well! Great job!

I really like the writing in this one, good storytelling.

Nice arrangement, that Pre-Chorus especially is very effective.

Janice sounds awesome as usual, really loved what she did at the outro! And nice job developing the melody and changes.

And of course I always enjoy hearing Peter do his thing.

Great way to start off the year, well done guys and gal!

Better than a bought one.
I REALLY dug the way J sang up to the note on the end of
"TO HINT AT SORROW IN HIS PAST"
Bloody lovely singing.
Cool playing, cool BIAB band, cool lyrics and cool engineering/production but wooooow the singing!

Cheers

Charlie, Janice was reminded of Third Rate Romance when she first read the lyric and had the Aces in mind as the song developed. She was delighted when she read your comments!
Thanks for your support and have a great new year.

"THOUGHT SHE’D FOUND HER MR. RIGHT
HE WASN’T THINKING PAST THE END OF THE NIGHT"

Nice!

Good write (from both sides).

Good band. Nice production. The pull-back for the pre-chorus is nice. And that ending is sweeeet! Good pickin' from Peter. And an excellent mix (of course)...

Janice SINGS! What more needs sayin'. Just sayin'... smile

Love the album cover, too!!

Excellent all around.

Hi y'all,

high hopes, no, high expectations - that's what I automatically have whenever I see there's a new song from J&B's wonderland of music. And I never get disappointed!!!! Again such a beautiful tune ...

Leon, your lyrics were indeed a a wonderful basis for that great song that Janice completed. I see that you all were involved in the arrangement which is not always a guarantee for a good result, but in this case many cooks did't spoil the broth at all - they spiced it up.

Janice what can I say what I haven't said so often - your singing is simply beyond compare. Peter, again some very nice work on the guitar and Bud - that's simply another flawlessly sounding production.

So well-done, guys, so well-done !

Again all the best for 2021,

Stefan

Great job everyone! Yep, I thought about Amazing Rhythm Aces right away. Terrific lyrics sung so well. Production is so pro. Slide fills were cherry. Another sure winner from the J & B team.

This checks all the boxes for a classic country song! When that harmony vocal part kicked in, this one took off for me! Great job by everyone! T

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
