Took me about three listens to warm up to it. Then it got real cool to me. Loved the ebb and flow of energy. I would listen to more music like this. Great work!

Hi TuneMonger

Hi,

It's a pleasure to see your comment on my atypical soundtrack. You know that I also appreciate your compositions and I was particularly touched on the comment you had made on one of my songs "Suffering in the Slaugterhouses".

Derochette,

I’ll add my voice to the accolades. Outstanding throughout—the mix is superb. Could easily see this as music backing to film, video, etc. The technical approach you describe is well beyond me, but the result is impressive. For a song in and of itself, perhaps it runs a bit long . . .. but I don’t think that’s the intent. As a score, it’s perfect. Well done!

All my best,

Deej

Hi Deej56,

I appreciated your comment. It is true that the electro sounds are not usual on this site. And I'm very glad you like it. It's a soundtrack where you enter the atmosphere created or not. And that according to his sensibilities and his affinities. Thank you again.

I would like to apologize for the delay in my responses lately. But I have little time to devote to my favorite hobby and to listen to your songs. I'll make up for it this weekend.

Derochette,
A very skillfully conceived and executed composition with enough shifts in instrumental layers and dynamics to keep me attentive throughout.
Good to hear someone stretching BiaB in new directions.

You had me from the git-go. I had a flashback to the 70's and the first electronic music such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Kitaro, etc. This is as good as they are IMHO.

Plus I like how individuals take BiaB to different genres and really stretch its capabilities. Hopefully PGMusic will see/hear these different genres and produce RTs and MIDI styles for them.

I really enjoyed this song.

Hi MarioD,

I am flattered by your nice comment and I thank you for it It is true that Biab favors certain styles / You're right, the staff should enrich their Rts, especially in orchestral with their string quartet, which lends itself better to it only for electro where there are already many tools with well thought out sounds. Thanks again.

This a showcase for the power and versatility of BiaB in talented hands.

As just simple RT/RD users we are very impressed with what you have done.

No doubt a lot of thought and effort went into this production.

Excellent!

Hi Janice, Bud and Peter,

I am always happy to see your comments and respect you for me and the others Biab’s members. you take your time to personalize your responses to comment our compositions.

Thank you also for your positive comment on my electro soundtrack. To come to Biab, the staff made a big leap on the future of the product by releasing a well-tied vst biab. It fits perfectly into the different daws on the market.

What a cool song. the BBC Symphonie was giving away some free vst virtual instruments. I took advantage of that. Floyd made mention of it in one of his posts. I was using melodyne to convert some guitar audio tracks to midi and was replacing them with cellos and violins. I think midi is over looked in favor of the real tracks. There are some very cool creative tools out there. You have produced some really nice sounds.

Hi Scott C,

Biab is a very nice product. It allows us to combine RT and midi tracks. On the audio tracks, you quote melodyn which is very good. It allows us to correct some notes which sound wrong from RT but also, it tries to create a midi file. This works well on RT since there is only one instrument at a time. This is what I did on my Rondo of love soundtrack, where I extracted from an RT violin, the midi file to replace this instrument with a mandolin instrument.
Thank you for your nice comment and your sharing on your way of composing..

Very atmospheric composition. I don't listen to much electro music, but like Ray says, good is good.

Hi Derochette,

Wonderful, atmospheric track. Like you, I wish people would start to use the midi tracks more and make other genres of music than what you can do with the RealTracks.
I love experimenting with the midi tracks as well... and using them with different synths of my own choice.

I hope you will share more music of this kind, because it is really refreshing to hear something with an electronic feel to it (whether you call it cinematic, chillout or ambient...).

Thanks a lot for sharing!
Will

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
