Ladies and Gentlemen , please indulge in a little Hanky Panky

I was inspired to write this song by the wonderful Erika Lewis and her amazing band Tuba Skinny. The subject is universal and the object is fun. I shortened this because my last outing (Marty the frog) was a bit lengthy.

Lyrics - (modified family friendly)

Hey baby youre looking fine
let me show you a real good time
hanky panky hanky panky time

moon is up the day is done
now it's time to have some fun
hanky panky hanky panky time

I love you baby you're so cute
I love you in your birthday suit
help me make my dreams come true
coochie coochie coochie coo

when I saw you I went mad
biggest grin I ever had
hanky panky hanky panky time

I love you baby you're so cute
I love you in your birthday suit
sweetest gal I ever knew
coochie coochie coochie coo

Don't tell your Momma what we do
That jailhouse is cold and blue
hanky panky hanky panky time

Fun song, matches the upbeat backing to a "T"!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Cool fun...I reckon the solos, (nice licorice stick ramble tooo), need the same reverb and placement as the vocal otherwise one or the other seems pasted on.

Cheers

Nostalgic, funny, entertaining, amusing, colorful, and much more.

A really enjoyable step-back-in-time.

You captured everything, no question.

Gary,

Very well done. A fun song, well mixed.

This has a somewhat beatlesque thing happening...sounds like a song Ringo would have sung...

Enjoyed.

Totally loved it! Reminded me of the few times I was in New Orleans. A terrific write, band and vocal. It all works perfectly. A totally enjoyable listen. Wishing you well.

Gary, this is such a fun listen. Very well put together and performed. There are some great New Orleans tracks in BIAB and are very underused. Reminds me of something McCartney might have written. Well done,Tom

Hi Gary,

The atmosphere is excellent. The filters on your voice reinforce the atmosphere of the old 45s. It's pleasant and fun. Well done.

Kindly regards
Take care of yourself

Love that New Orleans vibe Gary! I like the way the vocal is right up front...that works! Great band you've assembled! Everything sounds like it's right where it should be! Great job! T

This is fantastic! Loved that Big Easy groove. Your vocal reminded me of Dr. West's Medicine Show and Jug Band!
Everything about this one is top shelf!

Great memorable tune and a lot of fun. Harmony is rich sounding.

This is just as good as Paul's "granny music"! smile

I had to stand up right from the opening. Then, of course, I just couldn't sit back down. Loved it, Gary. Ah, yes!

Enjoy whatever happens!

Nicely done, Gary. Bit worried that you're gonna end up in the jailhouse, though!
(I happened upon Tuba Skinny while surfing YouTube a few months back and immediately watched every clip of theirs I could find. They are indeed amazing.)
Regards,
Leon

Paul goes to New Orleans!

Awesome to the max and FUN.

Cool write, melody, vocal, arrangement and BiaB choice.

It's all there and it's all good!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
