I finally have a new song to post. This is one I wrote towards the end of 2020 and I just finished the recording a few days ago.

I guess you could say it's a pandemic inspired song... and I'm really hopin' it goes viral! laugh

All RT's are listed below. All lead & fill guitar parts are my Tele (Trigger). I'm doing all the vocals as well.

As always all comments welcome.

Change A Comin'

Here I sit I'm not alone my little dog is by my side

He's so happy just to be with me it's something he can't hide

He doesn't know what once was normal suddenly has ceased to be

Don't take for granted what you know about livin' life and bein' free

There's A Change A Comin' / A Change A Comin'
And Now It's Here

Another day has come and gone should I laugh or should I cry

Or should I stay inside my house just hoping I don't die

So many people in denial of the danger that surrounds us all

Can't see the forest for the trees guess they just lack the where-with-all

(Chorus)
(Solo)

(Bridge)
There's got to be a way so everyone will know / After the storm there's always a rainbow

There's got to be a way we all must realize / If we come together then we will survive

(Chorus) X2
(Solo Out)

Good voice well captured. A touch of Big Country on the guitar licks but not quite bagpipe territory.
Nice one.

Cheers

A terrific sound. Good song - documenting the times nicely.

Excellent vocals and BGVs. Nice soloing.

A really solid mix.

HI Grag ...

Great to hear another one from you after such a long time since your last one. Perfect lyric for times. The lyric says a lot of what I think of the times and situation.

I'd nearly forgotten what a super voice you have. That lead riff was smokin' hot! Loved everything about it.

The bass [player of a band I played with back in the 70s was originally from Grand Junction. I lived in Denver and we played the Denver scene for several years.

Wishing you the best. Hope to hear more from you soon!

Alan

True that!!!

What a re-entry to the the forum with this fine write, arrangement and production.

Excellent BiaB choices and that RD pops just right on the monitors!

Steamy guitar and great vocals ice the cake.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks Ray. I wasn't thinking bagpipes when I did the intro lick, but now that you brought it up I definitely hear it.

Hey Dani,

Thanks for the listen & kind words. Yes I'm using my CS Telecaster "Trigger", on all my guitar parts.

Floyd,

Thanks so much. I'm happy to be back and have something to contribute... Even if it seems to be on a seasonal basis. grin

Hey Greg, I remember you from last time I frequented the forum!

Of all the people who post here, I identify perhaps most strongly with your submissions. Your rock influences are similar to mine, I suspect.

I like most everything about this one.. a spectacular production piece in which you juggled a lot of tracks, some of which are dripping with FX, and yet it isn't a pool of mud. I respect that a lot since mixing is not my forte.

I hear a little bit of Bachman Turner Overdrive, and several other 70s bands whose names I can't retrieve at the moment.

Your vocals are spot on for the genre, the guitar playing is clean and flashy, and there's vocal harmony at all the right places (and missing where it needs to be)

Love the guitar riff you use to intro the song. It also works as a signature passage later in the project.

Very catchy.. I can see you filling a dance floor with this one. I don't even dance, but it almost got me out of the computer chair.

I liked the transitions. You know how to keep a song moving, which is a trait I see mostly in song writers who have spent a lot of time in front of live audiences, throwing gasoline on the fire so the dancers don't sit down.

I could go on, but then there'd be nothing to say in the next review. Very impressed. Good job.

Thank you so much Pat. My influences are most definitely from the 70's & 80's... Probably more southern & country rock than anything else.

I've been playing in front of live audiences since the mid 70's. (WOW that's a long time) eek

The heavy effects on the guitar parts were achieved using IK Multimedia's Amplitube 4 plugin... I just upgraded to Amplitube 5 the other day and it's even cooler!

Thanks again for the listen and the very kind comments.
