What my words can't convey is the huge smile on my face. I, too, ditto Mario's comment. This song is so good; now I'm gonna do it all again.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Yep ... everything Mario said. He said it about as good as it could be said. I can't add anything more. Just that I think it's superb music and makes me realize I have a long way to go to be even half this good. Best to all of you..

That was spectacular. I really like a well done acoustic song and this is that.

Great job with all involved.

So good!
Reminds me of the Dickie Chicks "Travelin' Soldier"

Loved it.

Well written and performed.
That really came together as a fine collaboration, which we don't get much of in these days of covid.

Tom and Janice,

Superb! A really masterful production on the bones of a terrific write, wonderful vocal and outstanding harmonies. Love that short musical break after the penultimate chorus—really pops. Wow—killer stuff!

My very humble regards,

Tom Janice & Bud

That was simply a class act all round. Lovely work by all involved. A beautiful mix, melody and lyric.

Janice sounds superb in this, and all the backing parts Tom provided including the harmony just enhance the track perfectly.

Wonderful.

Love the inner rhyme Given the chance/I gladly would dance.

The instrumentation slowly builds to the first chorus - I didn't even notice the drums were absent until the second listen. Loved the playing on the guitars. The extended fiddle solo worked really well.

Good write - classic country trick of the verse changing the meaning of the chorus the second time around.

My biggest complaint about Waves NX Ocean Way Nashville is that it can't be used for causal listening, so I'm using I'm using the dSONIQ Realphones. I can this close to getting the NX Abbey Roads plugin, because I really miss using my VRM Box. But for $35... tempting.

Anyway, stellar work all around. laugh
David, thanks for pointing out the way the meaning of the chorus changes. There were some subconscious elements going on during the write. Janice pointed out that the pumping bass in the instrumental bridge section seemed to signify the passage of time or the clock ticking down. The NX Nashville plugin works as advertised. It opened the mix up for me and enabled me to hear things that I previously didn’t hear. You just have to remember to disable it during the final mix down. I think it’s a keeper, Tom

PG Music's version of an 'All-Star' Band!

Always a commercial quality, radio-ready production - providing better quality than today's cookie cutter repetitive song craft. Refreshing and always solid entertainment. Looking forward to what's next from you guys. Whatever it may be, surely it's worth the wait.

LOVE the cello in this project... from the first few notes of the song it sucked me into the mood, like a whirlpool for the senses.

I thoroughly enjoyed the instrumental passages between verses. Especially the little bit before the last verse. Very nice use of the musical real estate.

The thought occurs to me as I listen to the lyrics that each generation has its own version of viewing and romanticizing relationships. This song, I would say, portrays my generation's point of view. Romantic songs written by young 'uns are different in a way I haven't yet analyzed well enough to articulate.

Tommy, you have the magic. Every musical idea you touch is brought to perfect fruition. I never hear anything by you that even suggests maybe it could be a little bit better if only you would change this or that. You know how to resolve an idea musically, and that is a wonder to experience.

Hats off to both of you. I'm expecting you'll both be famous any day now.

Awww!
This takes me back to the good old country music days.
By that I don't mean it's dated. It just means "hello, where have you been?"
Lovely gentle and honest song.

Beautiful production. The acoustic lead was "just right". Nice "little touches" throughout. The pumping bass was a good interlude. Excellent mix (no surprise there).

Superb vocal (of course). Nice harmony, too.

Sweet lyric and absolutely classic vocal delivery and harmonies. The band is solid and the production well thought-out and continually interesting. I really enjoyed this life-love story.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
