I think this was the first song I posted here. Around 2013.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have us another blues tune!

Gruve, my friend, good to hear from you again! I was surely here when you posted this in 2013, but it sounds new all over again. I just love the way you belt out your vocals! You have such a distinctive voice. And a great voice it is.

You know its hard to review your songs, because as soon as they finish, another one starts and I get sucked into THAT song, over and over until I never get back to the original song. SO here I sit, four songs in. I remember I really liked the first one. And the second one. And the third one. Dang, I like 'em all. Something in all of your songs that speaks to me.

Knock it off, I got stuff to do. I can't sit here all day listening to music.

But you make me want to.

Well, thanks for reposting, Gruverider. Love that slide. Good feeling blues shuffle, and well sung.

Enjoy whatever happens!

I'm a blues guy at heart.

This one fits nicely into that nitche.

Never heard it first time around but this time it sounds great.

A bit of SRV in that voice.

Nice one!

Gruverider,

I wasn’t on the board in 2013, so this is a first listen for me. And this is a mighty fine blues number; fine mix and production from first to last. Totally smoking guitars—both of them—working so well together. Great vocal as well. Really slick stuff!

My best to you,

Deej

Pat, generosity should be your middle name. I've always appreciated your comments. You make a man want to dig deeper and try harder.

Thank you for that!

It's 12 bar blues - with a slide guitar! And singing!

The lyrics include the words "woman" and "whiskey".

Excellent. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Laurence ...

Man, so great to hear you again. It's been a while!
-
I didn't hear this when you first posted it, to best of my severely-impaired memory. Sure am glad I clicked onto it this time.

And that is one rowdy, high-powered Blues! You have the perfect voice for it. The b/g tracks are busy and boisterous but, somehow, don't intrude on everything else. That's some real fine mixing and track choices. What a treat! Totally enjoyed it!!!

Best to you. Take care ...

Alan

Welcome back mr gruve!

No matter what the genre you are amongst the finest singers on the board
(and on the various playlists we listen to). Period.

Great blues band and mix...really well put together in a mix that sounds
in the pocket on the KRKs.

Stick around!

Fantastic vocal Lawrence- you don`t say if these are RT`s from 2013- if so, wow those twin harps are amazing.
Keep bringing these songs to our notice- lots of new folks around here.

Thank you to everyone for taking time to listen and for the generous comments!

Robertkc, I looked up the RTs and they are actually from September 2012. That would make them from the 2011 BIAB! Wow!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
