Given my previous post regarding budesonide and asthma preventors, EXO-CD24 COVID treatment also begins its work in the lungs.

So far, only Phase 1 trials have been conducted. Phases 2 and 3 will follow. At this stage, though, tests are promising.

From the article...

Quote:
Hailing a “huge breakthrough,” the hospital said Prof. Nadir Arber’s EXO-CD24 substance had been administered to 30 patients whose conditions were moderate or worse, and all 30 recovered — 29 of them within three to five days.

Hi Noel,

Interesting information. Exosomes have been known about for sometime and experimentation using them for cancer has been around for a while.

Let's hope their current use in treating certain aspects of Covid-19 prove to be useful without other side effects.

CD24 is a highly complex subject. Here is an article in Nature. https://www.nature.com/articles/cmi2009119

There are several well known sources of respected peer reviewed medical information. Nature is one of them. The largest are The Lancet, New England Journal Of Medicine, BMJ, JAMA and several others.

It would have been nice to have some access to the science of Prof. Nadir Arber claim and use of CD24.

Here is a link to the actual phase one study. The study was posted but there was no results posted.https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04747574

If you want to read about the many aspects of Covid-19 go here or look up The Lancet also, https://www.nejm.org/coronavirus

Billy

EDIT: If you read the article Noel referred to the term "Cytokine storm" was used. Here is a link to what that term actually means.

I listen to the first 15 minutes. She is a proponent of using Hydroxychloroquine, she is a proponent of not wearing mask, she is a proponent of not taking the vaccine and if you are over seventy it time for you to die anyway.

If she actually is a doctor, she should have her medical license removed for proposing these ideas. She has been removed from all the major platforms for good reason. She has been fired from her job for good reason.

It is beyond belief that people are taken in by people like this.

Billy

EDIT: "Fringe Hydroxy Doctor Arrested In Connection With Capitol Riot
Simone Gold, head of America’s Frontline Doctors, told the media she didn't regret being there. Reports are also on fewer ACOs participating in Medicare, rising hospital profits and HCA's plans to increase PPE products.

The Hill: Doctor That Promoted False Hydroxychloroquine Claims Arrested In Connection With Capitol Riot
Federal officials this weekend arrested the head of a fringe medical group that has promoted false claims about vaccines and the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine in connection with the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. The Justice Department said in charging documents that it had charged Simone Gold, head of America’s Frontline Doctors, with violent entry, disorderly conduct and entering a restricted building. John Strand, the group’s communications director, was also charged in connection with the riot, with the Justice Department including images of both inside the building. (Budryk, 1/21)"
Here is where the above came fron. https://khn.org/morning-breakout/fringe-hydroxy-doctor-arrested-in-connection-with-capitol-riot/

There is plenty more about this person...just Google

Billy, this reference as well as many more indicate that using Hydroxychloroquine in the early stages of the Wuhan virus does work. Many of the failed tests gave Hydroxychloroquine to people in the hospitals so using that logic low dose aspirin should also be banned as it didn't work when given to someone with a heart attack in a hospital.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32757497/

As far as wearing masks, closing restaurants, social distancing, quarantines, etc it is all about control. We are losing our rights. If the above worked then the Wuhan virus would have been gone by now. Schools in Europe have been open for months so why not here? How can you get herd immunity if there is no herd?

Of I know the government wants to protect us. This is the same government that subsidies the tobacco industry, declares liquor stores as essential businesses, and is in the process of legalizing drugs.

I had gotten both Moderna shots. I wear a mask only because I am ordered to wear one.

As far as those whom stormed the Capitol, they should be in jail, as well as those BLM and Antifa morons that looted, burned buildings, and threw stuff at the cops.

Hi Mario,

With respect, I just want to say that from my own personal experience, wearing masks, closing restaurants, social distancing, quarantines, etc., worked extremely well in my home state of Victoria (Australia).

Mid-July, Australia hit the benchmark of 400 positive COVID cases in the previous 24 hours.

https://www.france24.com/en/20200717-melbourne-sees-record-rise-in-coronavirus-cases-despite-lockdown

Nearly all Australia's cases were in Victoria. On the 5th of August, we were up to 725 positive cases in the previous 24 hours.

That was when Victoria's Chief Health Officer adopted Stage 4 lockdown. It covered all those things you mention plus a few other things. By the beginning of November, we had zero community transmission of covid.

As a comparison...

On June 11, France published: "Over the last 15 days France has reported a daily average of 639 new confirmed cases."

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-france-casualties-idUSKBN23H2X1

The French followed a different plan and on the 4th of November, 40,000 new cases were reported in the previous 24 hours.

We tamed COVID because we adopted wearing masks, closing restaurants, social distancing, quarantines, etc. We all acted with complete confidence in the medical advice and just focused on getting the job done. It worked.

The image below shows Australia's and France's COVID situations today, the 24th of February 2021.

When I look at those numbers below, it's hard to believe that France and Australia weren't so different around June/July last year.

Australia's population is 25 million and France's population is 67 million (around 2.7 times more). To scale France's numbers to Australia... If Australia had followed the approach that France used, our numbers would be around: (a) 1.3 million cases; (b) 31,300 deaths.

In all honesty, I'm very thankful for living in a country that listened to and acted resolutely upon the advice of experts.

Regards,
Noel

Hi Noel,

Thanks for the things you are posting.

I had considered writing about the transmission of pathogens and how that transmission can be interrupted. I decided that was not a good idea because of the highly political nature of wearing a mask and other methods.

No amount of science based information has changed enough minds to prevent the now 500,000 deaths of people in the United States from Covid-19. Hundreds of thousands more in Brazil and other countries.

I see some cost estimates exceeding 16 trillion dollars here in the United States.

If you don't think this pandemic is music related then answer this question. How much money have you made from music in 2020?

Bily

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
