Sounds great! Big classic rock sound, strong vocals, nice harmonies. The mix sounds great - big and balanced. I played it through multiple times, sounds just as good each time. Thanks David. Anytime someone plays a song multiple times, that’s a win, Tom Love this one, Tom!
You had me hooked right from the great intro, and things just got better from there.
Man, the mix is just fabulous!
One of your best I think, and you have done a lot of great songs over the years.
Dave, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I appreciate it,Tom

REALLY COOL. I did notice that the vocals was slightly overwhelmed by the chorus...like it stayed at the same level as in the verse but with more around it making it seems quieter. Narrative, melody, performance, arrangement..ACE!

Love the opening lines: "I still see her on the street She still smiles when we meet I try to walk away but then I turn"
Very relatable. A catchy vocal and the perfect band brings out the best. So well done, Tom. And what a cool outro, too. Thanks Marty. I’m glad you came by, Tom

Reminded us of Bob Seger from the get go. And from that get go Janice was singing along -- always a good sign she loves a tune.
Your lead and harmonies are outstanding...nuff said.
Your guitar is always where it oughta be and playing what it oughta play for the particular song.
And, man, those drums are, again always, the best you'll hear round here.
And the write? Immediately engaging and a cool structure.
"Uptown she celebrates success Down here well I”m the same old mess I just don’t understand why I’m not over her"
That is for us a great example of what separates you from the pack.
Stellar,
J&B Thanks J&B! Your positive review means a lot to me,Tom Very cool intro Tommy. Love the fender tone and vibrato. Super vocal and lyric. Backtrack was excellent. Loved the mix Scott, thanks for all that,Tom

Hi Tom Another enjoyable listen and well crafted to your usual high standards. The thought of first love, second time around, has traction with us baby boomers and the ease of the net just enables us to get into a whole lot of trouble A very entertaining song. cheers Gary.

Oh my word. Just builds and builds. A superb country rock, driven track. The guitar playing is sublime, the singing is perfect for the song and the ending is the cherry on the cake.
Wow. So many incredible musicians, such as yourself, on this forum. Every time I log on here, I'm guaranteed a musical feast. And this stood out even for here. Bravo.

Excellent on so many levels. Top-notch writing and vocals. Didn't see any reference to drums (which matched the track perfectly) - what do you use?
My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile

I agree with others that the beginning really catches your attention and the chorus is strong. You really sing this well too. This would do commercially -- upbeat-- the first 30 seconds would grab the streaming listeners and keep them listening Bob, thanks for all that. I’m pretty sure my music money making days are in the past, Tom Tom,
Excellent in all regards. Cannot help but LOVE this right out of the gate.
A GREAT sound. Everything coming together perfectly.
A solid write. It "sticks with you" with one listen. Hallmark of quality.
Superb mix. Engaging vocal.
This one has it all. Loved it!
fj floyd, I sure am glad you liked it,Tom

You've got a winner on your hands!
moto Thanks Captain, Tom Hi Tom,
A very good song. A strong intro, strong vocals and 'soft' lyrics! And... a very catchy melody. I'm really impressed. During the song I had to think (sometimes ) of songs from Floyd. I think you're in the same room when it comes to these kind of songs. And I do like his songs, so it isn't surprising I like this one too!
Very enjoyable, Hans Hans, thank you for the very thoughtful comments. Stay tuned. floyd and I will post our annual B’day song this week. Tom

Hi Tommyad,
Noslatalgic and successful atmosphere. This composition also allows us listeners to relive some of our memories. The realtracks are well chosen and the whole is very pleasant. Well done.

Narrative, melody, performance, arrangement..ACE! Ray, that is a good observation. I picked up a tip from ROG several years ago and I’ve used it ever since. I keep the vocals on a separate track for the chorus. You only have to sing it one time then copy and paste. Saves a lot of work and would be an easy fix here to boost the vocals should I ever revisit the mix. Thanks for the kind words,Tom Good big fat sound, Tom.
Vic Thanks Vic, Tom

If you gave 'her' the song to listen to, she might not want you to 'get over her', and would instead invite you over to her place . There's plenty of musical enjoyment for the ears in the song as it projects a rockin' wall of sound that's full of energy even though it's tinged with a bit of sorrow. Your singing voice makes its own clear and wide path through the production so the lyrics stay front-and-center. I like brevity of the song, too, as it gets-to-the-point and then lays itself down to rest with the confidence that all that could be said has been said. A real mover and shaker, this song is!
