Hello the nice members of Biab. I offer you a new atypical unpretentious soundtrack for themed film music. .It is short 2 minutes, time to try to open a door I have been using Biab for several years. It’s my favorite tool. I start all my soundtracks with it. First, I research the range of chords for the theme I want to develop. Here, it's a movie music theme with a specific theme. Secondly, I am looking for melodies from realtracks which could enrich my development of composition from the theme .. Everything is introduced from the vst Biab. The prepared draft, I import it into my daw, studio one, via the vst biab. Then I extract the parts of the files and the midi lines that interest me., Finally, I put orchestral vsts with sound effects targeted according to the theme. There, it is a simple research work in the sounds offered by the orchestral banks. In this case, I used two banks of projectsam: symphobia 1 and 2 To mentally visualize the scene represented in music, I will give you some details. The theme is : "Following a technical problem, astronauts locked in a space station must find a door to open, in two minutes, in order to be able to escape and survive. Time is running out. The atmosphere is scary, especially since they only have two minutes to find a solution. It ends well or badly for you to judge. If I succeeded in creating through music the anxiety to find a solution quickly, then I would have succeeded in my bet. So here no melody, only a clear atmosphere according to a theme that I have set for myself. If you are interested, thank you for your comments. This is particular, I know, I hesitated but here is a forum where you can learn about other styles than those usually offered and it allows you to discover Biab in different innovative aspects. The link to this soundtrack https://soundcloud.com/user-318966631/2-min-to-open-the-doorThe link to my other soundtracks https://soundcloud.com/user-318966631I Thank you Kindly regard Derochette alias JaniJackFlash

Derochette, Once again you create a convincing atmospheric soundscape. The vst strings sound full-bodied and intermitent percussion well placed for surprise and suspense. I like the script brief; is it part of a larger story?

This is a really creative use of Band-in-a-Box, and the addition of the backstory and tone-setting you did in your original post added that extra bit of flavour. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Ember

This is right up my alley. You did an outstanding job on this. My mind when right where you sent it, into an outer space thriller!
Loved it!
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi Robertkc,
It is true that without the description, one could ask the question about this soundtrack. No, there will be no follow-up. In developing this composition, I wanted to see if I was able to transcribe a distressing emotion only through music. Thank you for your comment.

Hi Ember,
By developing your Biab vst, you bring a powerful source of creativity. Moreover, starting from a style, the user can not only be inspired by the midi files of the realtracks and also completely modify the sounds to adapt the tracks according to their wishes. Biab is a great product and thanks for stopping by to comment.

Hi CaptainMoto,
I'm glad you felt the vibe. But don't worry, an astronaut comes out by listening to the soundtrack. And since I exceeded the four plays, they all came out unscathed. Thank you for your humor and your comment.

Hi Floyd Jane,
I'm glad you enjoyed it. But without the description, this soundtrack would have little interest because too atypical. Again a big thank you for your listening and your appreciation.

Hi ChicagoBob,
Your question is very interesting. When I want to create a composition, I open biab and not the vst biab. Generally biab offers you the last style used. Often times I look for a style depending on what I want to do. I'm also listening to the demo. If I like the demo like "good morning my love", I import the chords from the demo. From this importation of chords, I modify the realtracks of the proposed style (1). In the case of "Rondo of love", I introduced my chords in a style that I liked, I chose the realtracks that seemed appropriate to me in relation to the theme I want to develop (1). I remember my composition in Biab (1) and I switch to "studio one" which is my daw (2). In the Biab vst, I open my file, but it has the disadvantage of regenerating all the tracks. Which means if you had a well-crafted solo track in Biab, you might have it different in your daw since it regenerates all the tracks. If that doesn't suit you, you still have the option of exporting wav and midi tracks from biab and importing them back into your daw without using biab vsts. Once you import your realtrack or midi tracks can be processed. Either the realtrack is correct and it's okay, or you modify some tones with tools like melodyn to rectify the wav or mp3 imperfections. Either you want to replace the realtrack instrument and you work in your daw via the pianoroll on the midi tracks generated by the vst Biab. I Thank you for your comment and your question.

Hi Derochette ...
That was a wonderful and exciting listen! I love the drama you were able to project with the band/orchestra. And the ending was superb! I would have enjoyed this with or without the story. But the story was very interesting to read. Excellent production!
Wishing you the very best ...
Alan

Derochette,
Wow, very compelling, very engaging. Totally a movie or TV background track--just oozes tension. Could see this backing a lot of the shows ad movies I watch. Very cool. If this is all BIAB then you, sir, are a master.
My very humble regards,
Deej
