Hi Robert, Ray en Scott,
Robert, this is something different I heard from you. And with the craftsmanship from Ray en Scott you made it a very interesting and intriguing song. Good rhythm, nice tension and -of course- wonderful lyrics. Ingredients I like. And here it comes together in this good cool song. So from now on, you only make music together, don't you. It will please me very much. But... (there is always a 'but'), the end of this song came unexpectedly and a bit abrupt, or abruptly (as Google translate says). I rather would have had some kind of 'explosion' or at least an ending with a Bang.
But whatever, I like it, Hans Thanks Hans for checking out the song. I think the songs are different from each other as We never know really how the song is going end up like at the end. The song sort of gets taken in three directions at the same time than snaps back into form close to its finished form. Robert shapes the arrangement for the vocals and lyrics and then Ray strengthens the rhythm section with strong bass lines and very cool guitar sections. Then from the vocal and bass lines I try and come up with a guitar line. Controlled chaos I think.. Glad you liked the song. Hi Robertkc,
Very nice composition. Your voice is superb with well written lyrics as usual. It is well done. Excellent guitar solo, sober but well in its place. I appreciated.
Kindly regard
Derochette alias JaniJackFlash Thanks Jani for checking out the song. Really glad you liked the song..

Personal indeed. And we suspect the backstory would be even more so.
If there is a sub-genre of intelligent psychedelic rock you guys own it.
As always well performed by the entire SL cast.
Album coming?
Enjoyed it!

Hey guys ...
Mario was first to comment and he summed it up so perfectly. Everyone excelled in their parts. And Robert, your lyrics are always some of the best. But the whole product is exceptional. The lead guitar is exceptional and the bass really moves the progress of the song. A truly great listen. Wishing all of you the very best.
Alan Thanks Alan for checking out the song. So glad you liked it. Thanks Leon Your comments are very much appreciated. Glad you liked it

Robert, Scott, Ray, Simply amazing! Probably I will not be a right person to say something critically meaningful, because I like it on personal level...Spirit Level, excellent teamwork! Not sure how much pain or joy this brought, but listens very well. Like it very much. Thank you for sharing. Misha. Thanks Misha, I'm pleased you like it.

It's great to hear a band work together. Interesting lyric got me wondering what the song was about and that in my book is a good thing.

Spirit Level rises to the top once again. Scott, your tone and taste are so perfect for the song, and so perfectly placed in the music. RayC, you are the master on so many levels, and spirit is certainly one of them. I particularly liked the rhythm guitars. They make such a comfortable bed for the vocal. Robert. Robert. Robert. What can I say, man. What a good song sung so well. Love the lyrics. "I was painting the rainbow when you shot the waterfall"
"you became a poem the blazing ember of a day I became the poet of things you didn`t say"
What can I say?

Hi guys Intriguing lyrics as per usual, with a great opening; 'you're a dark horse on a good day, a black sheep on the rest'. Well sung and well played, guys. Another fine Spirit Level track. You guys make a cool little band! Keep on rockin' T Torrey, There`s more processing on vocals for Spirit Level songs than for my solo songs ( I use Nectar2), and both Ray and Scott are involved in tweaks which I think helps. Thanks for your support! Robert

Get ready for a splash of cold water.
I like the song, the lyrics and the instrumentation.
On the flip side, I thought the vocal was washed away with reverb at times and conflicted with the wet guitar in the same space.
