Lyrics and melody flow together flawlessly. Catchy groove really flies, does not matter legally or not. "Kissing the sky" reference and the funny story made me smile. Mix and vocals are top 10 radio friendly, excellent band selection - love the BIAB baritone guitars. The guitar solo couldn't be better for the song, excellent collaboration all together.

This was great fun to listen to. Great groove, a real funky dancer. Vocals and guitars rode it hard and put it away wet. That last vocal note killed me. Nothing swampy about the mix, even at it's busiest. Nice work.

A happy belated birthday to the both of yas.

Thanks, Tangmo!!

Hi floyd and Tom.

I'm a little late but my good wishes for you both are still intact smile

This is a stunning collaboration!

Whether I focus on the words, the melody, the chord progression, the backing, the guitars, the singing, the production, etc., the thought, "Wow! This is good." just keeps on appearing in my mind. Relentlessly.

I love the way you've used "Escape Velocity". I'd be too caught up in the physics of it's meaning to ever find a creative use like this! Kudos to you. Also, rhyming every second line in the verses really appealed to me. This triplet of rhymes is a nicely subtle way to add some emotional oomph to the lyric flow. It helps add to the feeling floating round and round.

I totally enjoyed this journey.

All the best,
Noel

I expect nothing but the very best from either of you - and together, well, it's just magic in a song. For me, on the music side, the baritone guitar and drums put this on a path to some really good stuff. The vocals, mix, lyric ... and all that technical stuff ya'll know how to do (I don't know) created one fabulous song. I could keep raving on and on, but I'll wrap it up and say if it gets much better than this, then new boundaries will have be established for greatness in a song.

Best to both of you. Take care and keep entertaining us.

Spin the high accolades wheel and pick one...it will apply.

We hear two great vocals (nice blues feel fj) and superbly tasteful guitar.

And the write? A clinic in How. To. Do. It. Well. Period.

We could randomly pick a line and it would be a fine one.

We hope y'all had happy birthdays 'cause you two certainly gave us a fine gift!

Hi Floyd en Tommy,

Well, a little late to wish you both a happy birthday, but not to congratulate you on this song!
I really enjoyed it, especially the chorus (and the rhythm of course).
I think I would have sang that last chorus at least 3 times till the end. With the bg-vocals this sounds really cool
(i need a little help / i need a safe place to be / or a good running start /so i can hit escape velocity)

I also like the use of a bariton guitar and the 'swamp'-instruments and rhythm a lot. The sound of them is very nice.
Very well done, you two!

Hans

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
