How about another song with "blues" in the title? Please have mercy on me, just trying to fit in smile
Probably not breaking any new ground here but just picked up a new Fender Telecaster recently and wanted to see if I could make it rock lol!
On a more serious note, this one is inspired by the many people I see out on the road that long to be home. Thanks for taking time to give it a listen.

Road Weary Blues
Words and music by
Torrey Bliss copyright 2021

Two lane road late at night
Moonlight shining down through my window bright
Rays of light penetrating my soul
Perpetual motion of the wheels takes a toll
Been on this journey since I don't know when
Can't remember where I'm going or where I've been
Distant neons fixed in my gaze
Glow in the dark illuminate my way
If you care to know
Hear this tired old soul

I don't want I don't want
To sing these road weary blues
Take me home take me home
And off this road to Timbuktu

I had a dream oh it led me here
Now my passion has turned to fear
I must untangle from this web I weave
Nothing good here now that I perceive
I hear a voice that I used to know
Now disrupting my status quo
This indecision my heart endures
Has made my way out become obscured
If you care to know
Hear this tired old soul

I don't want I don't want
To sing these road weary blues
Take me home Take me home
And off this road to Timbuktu
I don't want I don't want
To sing these road weary blues
Take me home take me home
Here if I'm a winner I lose

I don't want I don't want
To sing these road weary blues
Take me home take me home
And off this road to Timbuktu
I don't want I don't want
To sing these road weary blues
Take me home take me home
I hate these road weary blues

Torrey,

Great opening groove!!

Right away, I'm impressed with the mix. The drums and bass backbone is excellent. Nice bass line...Guitars blend nicely and your vocals "pop". Sweeeet.

Tasty guitar throughout.

"Blues" in the title. "Catchy Pop Rock" in the tracks...

Great listen. Sounds good!!

Really Rock'n!

Kicks off with a solid groove that keeps the listener engage though the entire song.

Nice arrangement and Lyrics.

Instruments sound good.

Vocals are good but, seem a bit strained at some points.

Overall, I think you accomplished your goal.

Bit more edgier rock from you, but refreshing change anyhow. Very strong and skilled interpretation too, expressing the anxious feeling to get back to home base to reload batteries of life, nice lyrics - we can be stuck on the road in many ways. Excellent solo, great mix.

As others mentioned, the clarity of the mix is excellent.

If I hadn't see the organ and acoustic guitar listed, I wouldn't even had known they were there. Which means they're doing their job and staying out of the way of the leads.

Vocals are energetic and emotive. Fun to listen to!

Ha! laugh

Although the guitars are stellar, the bass really steals the show here.

Love the twin guitar solo, and the sustained chords at the end.

Not really blues, but I'm not complaining!

Really fun song - solid classic rock.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Torrey,
Great energy comes through on your vocals and your guitar chops are in fine form- especially the twinned parts.Bass is also really good.
Straight ahead rock works for me in your very capable hands!

A fabulous song and performances Torrey.
I looked up every item of gear/software you listed to get clues on doing my things better.
The vocal is ACE.
The new guitar rocks really well.
IMPRESSED.
Excellent mix though I did note that chop accent jumps a little hard over the other guitars..is it panned the same as the others? Could it be shifted a little? I don't think it matters in the grand scheme of things but it did come to my dead ears.
REALLY UP, driving fun sounds with a good message - energized by the thoughts of home.

Cheers

Torrey,

Very nice guitar riff and bass riff.
They take me to the world of rock at once.
Anyway, this is a great performance.
I wake up immediately.
As usual, it's a little reminiscent of Paul McCartney.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Hey Torrey ...

Everything you post is always front-line pro. That bass line and guitar riff are so sweet! And your vocals shine like the sun on a gorgeous summer day. Terrific mix and a fabulous presentation. So dang good! Take care!

Thanks for the listen and comments! As for the vocals, I don't remember having a struggle reaching any notes but just was trying to give them a little more "grit" given the type of tune that it is. T
