<< It's that, typically the songs aren't written to work with radio...so they don't.
I love it when a song comes together to THIS extent. I would say, in my opinion, without any hesitation "radio ready." >>
<< Sounds like a single from an upcoming album. >>
I see this as the fifth song from an album that produced four hit singles. It's that one on the album that you skip those four hits and jump straight to your favorite song on the album. You can't hear enough.
Great song. Great job all around.
Charlie - thanks for another nice set of comments! Hi Floyd Jane,
Very soft composition with catchy lyrics. The orchestration is very pleasant. Nice combination between realtracks and instruments played by you. In addition, your voice transcribes all your emotions and that's good. Well done.
Kindly regard Derochette alias JaniJackFlash Thanks you, Derochette... You are the master of love songs Floyd.
Vic Thanks, Vic.

Hi Floyd. It's all been said already and all the plaudits are well deserved, so I'll just add that it's no easy feat to convey sincerity in a love song without coming across as mawkish, but you always do it so well. Regards, Leon

Exceptional, even for a Floyd Jane. You cut through so many layers to reach eternal truths and express them in a way a child would understand. Scrolling through the comments, it is plain that you are reaching people in very meaningful ways. Here, you've set the bar for what a man can be. Thanks, Ed... "stories of prince charming you never can forget arthur and guinevere romeo and juliet love written in the stars and poetry and prose fairy tale princesses the dreams that you held close" That gave Janice (a born romantic) the "dreamy look" We rarely quote another review but man did Rayc ever NAIL it. Your acoustic guitar and the cello sounded so good and the mix is nice and open. As always, the lead and harmony vocal were sublime and Janice was singing along with you too! And we always enjoy seeing your artwork. Excellent! J&B Mr. & Mrs. Dreamy... Thanks!! I just want to call my wife over and start slow dancing. This is one of those songs.
Beautifully done. I like the start with the gentle acoustic in the first half of the song and the build with the band in the latter half. Thanks, Scott... floyd,
Very nice acoustic guitar work. Superb vocals and harmonies. It's wonderful that the song gradually gets excited. Beautiful song. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Late to this game, so I have an excuse for not using fresh adjectives.
There isn't any part of this song I don't like. Always a nice thing to hear!! OK, that's not entirely true. I was listening to the bass part the second or third time through, and wondering if was you or BiaB, when at 0:34 it jumps up an octave and leaves the low end wanting. And at 0:26, the DI guitar pluck is a touch too loud, and there's a bit of a pop. Whew. Glad to get that off my chest. I've called the bass player in for "a talk"... The handcrafted bits are seamlessly woven in with BiaB. The nylon guitar riffs are perfect, and I love what you do with the strings - just enough motion to make them convincing, but not so busy they call attention away from the song. I'd have been convinced you weren't using BiaB drums, if it wasn't for the tom fill.
As usual, your mix is nice and transparent - which makes all the lovely details apparent.
Also nice to hear... Great write - everything leads nicely to the chorus, which doesn't disappoint. Thanks!! And your singing? Fantastic as always. Especially after I've been listening to robots singing all day.

Floyd, all I can say is you have written another masterpiece that you perfectly sang. You are a very masterful wordsmith and musician.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Really nice. You're singing my heart here. I listened hard to your chord changes here. Very effective "close together" under one couplet and "Far apart" in the other where the mood of the words changes as well. Anyway...just something to notice that doesn't really call attention to itself, but carries the emotion very well. What can I say about band, production and voice that hasn't been said. A real pleasure and joy to listen to. Thanks, Tangmo. I always appreciate your careful listen and thoughtful, insightful comments... BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Such a great song!!! Such a great lyric!!! I love simple messages which come with such sincerity that they just knock you on your [*****]!!! This is one of those special songs!!!!! Your vocal is beautifully sung and processed!! AWESOME Job my friend!!! Take care. Greg Greg - really appreciate such a fine review coming from you... thanks!!

Wow, I can echo what others are saying, what a beautiful song. If any song was ever radio ready as they say, this one is it. I love the stereo mix, I have a nice set of headphones and even the panning of the drums was spectacular. Thanks a bunch, Ronnie... Floyd, This is a beauty; meditative at the start moving into the passion the subject needs on that rising chorus. Fine, fine songwriting, performance and production.
Robert Thanks, as always, Robert... Beautiful!
great songwriting!
So..., i'm listening,...and the song is really good,... then the strings come in ,..... and that really takes it up to the next level!
well done!
-rob
Thanks for stopping in for a listen, rob... Comments of any kind, you say? Well, here's one: you're a freaking genius (excuse my language).
This is far and away one of the most beautiful songs I've heard on here. You and a couple of others so-called miscreants on here create like there's no tomorrow. Come to think of it, the standard's incredibly high on here, but you're one of the few that are at the top of the very top. Why? Because you know how to speak to people when you write and you sing. No nonsense, no beating around the bush, no complicating things. You speak to hearts when you sing. And that's pretty unbelievable - many of us wish we could do the same. Bravo. Well said, musician17!! Floyd, James speaks for me here. Chills. Wait, when the final sustain hit came, I finally have some constructive criticism. That guitar sustain is too long, man. Oh, man, I feel so good --like I just saw the S through Superman's white shirt. - Thanks, Marty. Sustain, refrain, abstain... You never disappoint, I love it. Thanks for having a listen, trapper... Wow, this one is good! I have been out for a long while, as my wife has been very ill, and I have just simply overwhelmed.
I was able to check back in today, and as soon I saw your name on this one, I knew I was going to be in for a treat.
This one gives me chills. The arrangement is impeccable, and your vocals always shine. The write on this is as good as it gets.
So glad I was able to get here and give this a listen!
Steve
Steve - coming from you, that means a lot... thanks!!
Great!
You definitely have it in your man.
Excellent arrangement, nice strings!
Gorgeous.
Thank you, Mr. Snyder....

Mr. Jane...
I haven't listened to all of the songs you've posted to the User's Forum, but I've listened to enough of them to appreciate the craft and emotion that you put into them.
There something about this song that lifts it above your body of work. Your sensitive lyrics and the quietly reassuring music seem to describe a man who, perhaps, has shed all of his youthful insecurities about his relationships with women and, 'seeing the light' at last, commits to becoming the other, and better man he's always wanted to be. No longer hiding behind the facade of being a swaggering, selfish lady-killer, but willing himself to be a true lover and protector. As user's forum member 'edshaw' so powerfully and simply observed, "Here, you've set the bar for what a man can be."
No doubt such a man could be the kind of guy that most women believe they would only meet in a dream, but your song, and particularly the title, 'I Think I've Got It In Me', suggests that a man could actually choose to make that dream a reality when he's lived long enough to come to understand that he's got to give away freely that which he wants to receive.
You sing your lyrics as though you are offering pieces of your yielding heart. I'm certain there would be a lot of takers. Loren - Thanks for the wonderful comments..... Another awesome production really great work!! what can I say love songs Eric Thanks, Eric.... Hi Floyd. It's all been said already and all the plaudits are well deserved, so I'll just add that it's no easy feat to convey sincerity in a love song without coming across as mawkish, but you always do it so well. Regards, Leon Appreciate it, Leon.... Floyd, all I can say is you have written another masterpiece that you perfectly sang. You are a very masterful wordsmith and musician. Thanks for stopping by, Mario...
