I love the descending bass line. Nothing quite tugs at the heartstrings like descending bass. Whenever I hear it, I'm always reminded of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Air On A G String."
I posted the clip below because the bass is prominent and it's easy to hear what JSB did.
While it's a descending bass, he applied some lateral thinking and did it by jumping octaves. For example.... in the key of C major, the pattern is...
Low C, jump up one octave to high C, step down a semitone to B, jump down to low B, step down to A, jump up to octave A... etc.
With a MIDI bass and a good synth, this would sound awesome! I can't believe I haven't actually tried it with a BIAB arrangement!
Sorry... I got sidetracked... Everything you bring to Users Showcase is first class. The whole kit and kaboodle always leaves me thinking, "That's what 'professional' sounds like." I thought that eight days ago when I first listened to this and again just now when I re-listened!
A lot of nice things have already been said, and I agree. I will just add, I think this is my favorite of yours. Very well written and produced. Love your vocals on this one.
Very nice rock ballad!

Steve Young Music "In order to compose, all you need to do is remember a tune that nobody else has thought of." - Robert Schumann
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
