Hi all, Would anyone have examples of endings of country songs with a pedal steel track? Struggling to get the ending that's in my head for my new tune. Thanks all!
2023 BIAB Ultrapak, Reaper, EZDrummer 2 & 3, Roland VS-2480, Tascam 38 Reel to Reel 8-Track
Just checking if there were any country type artists who have written songs in BIAB including a pedal steel that could let me hear the song endings Thanks to all in advance!

Boots, I don't know the answer as I don't generally use Pedal Steel, but this suggestion may help: In the Style Picker, press Clear, and then enter the text 'pedal steel' in the filter string. From there, select any style, and press the Load Song Demo button, and Generate and listen to the song. There should be almost 500 styles to choose from. You can also add other filters for Tempo, Time Signature etc.
BIAB & RB2024 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones
I was hoping someone with more savvy than I would jump in on this post. For me, I would like a bit more info. - What style and tempo are you using? - What version (year) of BIAB are you using? - Do you have the complete set of Pedal Steel "soloist" RealTracks? (not sure I have them all but my list shows 30, some sw, some ev, various tempos)
First, save your file to say, "whateverthefilenameis_01) so that you preserve your original. Say you want the steel playing on the soloist track. I would just right click in the instrument area of the mixer (not on the track name), and choose "Select RealTracks" and "Select RealTracks" again.
That should give you the list of all your RealTracks. Make sure they're sorted by name. Scroll down the list to the ones starting with "Pedal Steel, Soloist ..." Pick one from the list that is somewhat close to your style (say sw, or ev) and tempo
Then just "Generate Track" ignoring the fact that you may want the steel player to play just the ending. Keep regenerating until you get something you like plus Keep trying different RTs Also, don't forget you can right click (say) the last bar and choose Song Settings. There's options there to "Generate 2 bar endings" etc.
There's other methods to generate a series of RTs over specific bars if that's what you're after. Let us know how you make out and if you need more help.
You can listen to the endings of the “band demos” for the pedal steels on RT artists like this The pages list all of the RealTracks made with the selected RealTracks artists. And if you listen to the "band" demo, they usually end with an ending.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
