"A rousing gospel song." Certainly lived up to that description. Thoroughly enjoyed it and now I feel ready for Church on Sunday wink

Nigel...that was a ride! Time does fly when you're having fun and that was FUN! Great song, super vocals and loved the adlib vocal back-ups. Gospel means "good news" and that piece certainly was...thanks for posting it. Dan

That's a very impressive song you've got there! laugh

Any chance you might post something about the MIDI tracks or VSTis that were used on the song? While the RTs have gotten all the attention over the last years, it's nice for the MIDI tracks to get some attention.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Folks,

Thanks for all your wonderful comments - much appreciated.

It's one of my all time favourites because of the fun we had in my Garage recording Susan and the Choir's vocals.

I have searched high and low for the MIDI Style used in this song without success. I wrote the original song without the vocals in BIAB back in 2006.

Maybe someone at PGMusic recognizes the Style.

Best Regards
Nigel

Great recording of live choir and sax!

You did a really good job blending the live artists with the BIAB background tracks.

Excellent!

We've played a lot of gospel bluegrass back in the band days and have listened to a fair amount of the Blackwood Brothers, etc....so from that background we are impressed.

Great vocals, write, backing and arrangement. Everything is "hittin' the note" with the mix/soundstage on our monitors.

Like that intro also.

Kudos to all!

Very impressive, indeed! The vocals and choir are amazing. Great job on the midi. So often, midi sounds like, well, midi. Great job with the VSTi's.

Great mix/mastering.

Really enjoyed this rousing Gospel style!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
