Hi, Mike. The "Texas" sax fits in there really nicely! I like the mix - nice stereo spread with the instruments. Well put together bit of music.

Nice chord structure.
Busy Sax work and percussion.
No doubt lots of fun to put together.

Mike you should have fun more often! Loved those vibes! Super groove and stereo separation. That sax wasn't really killing, loved it.
Super use of RTs and a super song.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Sounds like it was as much fun to make as it is to listen to, Mike. You always create a band I could listen to every night, and then provide the coolest changes for them to show off. Love your choice of instrumentation, and the way you bring them in.

'cubanpete'... Damn, man, your composition, 'With Your Permission' was so brief and ended so suddenly that I thought a commercial break was coming! Great combination of Real Tracks. This instrumental is as steamy and passionate as a stormy tropical summer night, with particular credit bestowed on all the rhythmic percussion going on in the Real Drums track. The fast sixteenths tempo in the drum set reminded me of some of Pat Methany's more upbeat music. The vibes and electric piano provided all the romantic sweetness and ambient shimmer and glow you could ask for to contrast the primal musical drive of the piece. You pulled off a great stunt using that 'Texas Blues Rock' alto sax soloist! I listened to the demo in BIAB. It had a 2 & 4 beat that did not suggest it would work in your bossa/funk/smooth jazz composition, but it came off sounding like it was making love to somebody, ha, ha !!! Hot, hot, hot!

Thank you guys, I was surprised myself how well the sax solo worked. I like to experiment, if not sounds good I don't even post it here. Cheers

Hi Mike,
I love bossanovas. That was a stroke of genius using that TexasBluesRock realtrack... very, very cool. It fits perfectly. As always, I love the chords you use to lead the listener through your song. Wonderful arranging.
This was a nicely satisfying journey.
Regards, Noel

Hi Noel, thanks for your comments. Not sure about the stroke of genius but sure was a stroke of luck. I tried different soloists and thought that this one fitted pretty good despite the difference in styles. Thanks again
Mike B.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
