Minor keys always call to me, much more so than major. Exception is blues, I like major and minor equally well for I-IV-V stuff. Thanks, Tangmo!

This cut captures the broad presence of rock; meaning, no matter where you got off the ship anywhere in the world at any time, you'd likely hear this song, playing away. smile

Good work with the organ. Sounds like something you'd hear with Joe. Hard to get that vibe from those RT's but you did it well with using both variations.

We enjoyed the listens! Excellent mix.

J&B

For me Reese with Joe, and before with Stevie, is the ultimate B3 player. I've seen him perform with both those guys. Bass, Drums, B3, Guitar ... perfect band!

Thanks, guys!

I did not hear prior version, but mix is excellent to my ears. Really like this one. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Mix is pretty similar, mostly brought the drums up a hair. Thanks for the comment on the vocal, singing is very new to me and I don't have much confidence.

"L.Cohen on serious steroids", LOL!

Nice tweaking of the organ.
I can hear the Cohenness...song wise it'd fit his I'm Your Man album tone wise it's another beautiful best.
The vocal phrasing and chords remind me of a great power pop band you'd not have encountered:

EXCELLENT!

Thanks very much, Ray!

You are right, never heard of that band but I like them, good energy. And yes, similar song, just more pop.

Love that vocal, Dave. I remember when you were JUST (ha) a guitar player. Very moving song, man. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. I thoroughly enjoy gassing up this buggy and groovin' along the happy highway. Whoa! Lonely Nights started right after this one. Dang, you were NEVER "just a guitar player". That opening phrase is outstanding.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Dave and Marty,

Guys, this is outstanding, however I look at it.

Marty, I can hear the bass so easily and clearly but it never overshadows the mix. This is exactly the sort of sound that I chase but never manage to achieve in my own mixes. Awesome stuff!

Dave, your guitar playing is first-first-class and your vocals fit this genre really, really comfortably. As always, the minute I heard your mix starting to play, my skin turned an envy-green color. You get SUCH a good sound with everything you do.

All the best,
Noel

The guitar work really stands out, both the rhythm and the lead. The rhythm guitar moves the song with a simmering energy complemented by Marty's pulsing bass. That lead solo was pro all the way. Loved it.

I like all of your stuff and this track is no exception.

Vocal sound is perfect for the song. Bass is really in the groove and guitar is just right.

Thanks very much, Noel, I really appreciate that! As far as the mixes go I think you are being too hard on yourself, your mixes always sound good to me smile

I'm always happy when I can come up with a cool, song specific rhythm part instead of just generic strumming, so thanks for picking up on that!

First of all, what a great hook/title. Makes me think of my two fav cars I owned long ago and far away. And how much I used to enjoy driving them. smile Sweet guitar and the mix sounds good on my speakers.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
