Hi guys,
Do any of you use the Headrush Pedalboard with BIAB/RB?
If so, what is the best way to set this up to record my guitar tracks over the songs ive made up in BIAB?

Ive got the HR and BIAB connected by cant hear/record my guitar.

Any help, very gratefully received.

Many thanks,
Steve

steve. ymmv.
isnt the set up/usb details in your headrush manual ?.
looks to me like you hook up hr over usb.
heres a you tube vid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-SdTn0M6Sk
then go into your headrush settings i guess like 44.1 on the vid. to be compatible with bb.
then enable the headrush driver in bb .

personally i wouldnt bother with interfaceing HR with bb.
i would do my basic arrangeing of song in bb then export to realband or a daw like reaper. then go to daw preferences and point daw or RB at headrush. cos in the daw you have unlimited audio traks.
OR the lazy mans way like me lol done many times in studios in the past just take audio out of HR and then line input into whatever audio interface your useing for studio work.

frankly i dont need a HR cos i use free gtr plug ins like freeamp and others like reapers built in amps.
so i arrange my rock out song in bb then export traks to reaps then record further gtr traks useing plug ins.
i also use plug ins to condition the exported bb gtr traks.

do you have a regular usb interface ? or is HR it ?

ps there are lots of vids of headrush on you tube.

Thanks a lot for your advice..
TBH, youre right, much easier to add the tracks with RB afterwards.

Im going to give the Headrush connection another go. The Headrush is set up ok..USB on etc with the drivers installed and set to ASIO.

Steve.
in hrush you have a control panel.
just make sure your sampling rate and bit depth eg 44.1/16 is set in the following.
. WIN SOUND CONTROL PANEL.
. HEADRUSH CONTROL PANEL.
. REALBAND AUDIO DRIVERS.

in testing various interfaces ive found the above idea works best.
if you need a general decent audio interface seperate from Hrush, check out this thread on what devices pg users find work good with RB.

ps here is a slew of free plug ins.
ymmv.
https://www.kvraudio.com/plugins/best-free-plugins
also google you tube free gtr plug ins.
from the loads available i ensure i only use low cpu use plug ins. NOTE. in reaper js fx are several gtr plug ins for dumble // marshall and others amp types.

Depending on how the Headrush ASIO drivers are programmed, it may not allow more than one app to use the Headrush at a time. Make sure any other audio apps are closed.

If that doesn't help, in BIAB go to Options > Preferences > Audio, then click the Audio Drivers button below where it says ASIO followed by ASIO Driver's Control Panel. See if your sound card has an option to control buffer size, and if so try increasing it.

Thanks very much Gents.
I've taken your advice and gone via a Focusrite Solo - so much easier than messing about with the drivers. In the meantime, ive put a call int with PG to get clarification on the correct procedure with going in directly with the Hrush.

Thanks a lot for coming back to me with your advice

Steve - I've emailed you some suggestions. Good choice with the Focusrite, they seem pretty bulletproof given my testing so far.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
