Hi All,

Here's something called City Girl.

Easy now

I’m over my head
In this subway car
I’m gasping for breath
I think I’m in too far

So let me tell you girl
Something I can’t forget
I guess I missed you more
Like I just said
I miss that girl
Girl in the city
Yeah I miss that girl
Girl in the city

I’m running the street
In worn out shoes
I’m wearing out feet
I got nothing to lose

So let me tell you girl
Something I can’t forget
I guess I missed you more
Like I just said
I miss that girl
Girl in the city
Miss that girl
Girl in the city

I’m dazed and bruised
In a world of hurt
I’m looking for truth
I'm on high alert

So let me tell you girl
Something I can’t forget
I guess I missed you more
Like I just said
I miss that girl
Girl in the city
Miss that girl
Girl in the city

So let me tell you girl
Something I can’t forget
I guess I missed you more
Like I just said
I miss that girl
Girl in the city
Yeah I miss that girl
Girl in the city

Hi Mr. Dean.

I like these laid back styles. Very Dylanesque.
I wrote one called City Girl too a few years back.
Good stuff.

Man I can't get enough of your vocals! So expressive.

"I’m running the street
In worn out shoes
I’m wearing out feet
I got nothing to lose"

Nice!

Sounds great, Bob, I'm a fan.

Well, talk about engaging songs... Right after the "Easy now" I was singing along with you as if I knew the song all my life. Really catchy hook and melody. Great choice of band and style, and the perfect production, Bob. Great morning lift.

Enjoy whatever happens!

They always say the greats have an identifiable tone. You so do. Your song writing and production obviously well crafted; but it wouldn't this song without your voice. VERY cool!

Bob, outstanding vocal and lyrics! Loved it. Super choice in instrumentation and mix also.

IMHO this is your best to date.

Another great one, Bob. Like others have said, your songs have an instantly recognisable sound which really appeals to me. And I'm always a sucker for songs of longing and regret.

Leon

Nice construction and arrangement.
Your very distinctive vocal style holds court as always.
Still, a little de-essing wouldn't go astray.

Cheers

Most memorable.

You and Lucinda need to hook up for a live stream. We'd pay!

Even sans baritone guitar we loved the band smile

Great, as Janice said, "gritty and soulful" vocal.

Excellent!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
