Really good as per usual, floyd! Great song, pro mix.

"this endless quiet is deafening", nice!

I love your vocal and especially the BGV's, the way you have them mixed in.

I'm not usually a fan of the fade out ending, but fading on that guitar outro works well.

You will make a country fan out of me yet! wink

What a very nice thing to say, Marty... Much appreciated!!!

What a great opening. Seems like the perfect first paragraph of a great book that one won't be able to put down.

...And a great way to identify JUST the way a song ought to open! Here's hoping we can all do THAT everytime we write!!...

After posting for nearly a decade it's no secret that you are both a great writer and singer. And, man, would this ever be a fine tune to point the uninitiated toward.

Janice never fails to comment on your phrasing when she first hears a fj song. One of the many subtleties that separates a good singer from a great singer.

When you counseled us years ago on writing, e.g., bricks vs mortar, we became aware of it's not only rich imagery but how that imagery is laid out -- lyrically and vocally. Guess it is a juxtaposition of rich and sparse. No small feat.

You may have figured it out by now ... we love every aspect of this production!

Man, this is smokin' Floyd.

Love the tracks you chose and the performance all around.

The gutsy vibe of the guitars and mix is great.

Very well written modern theme tune with lots of emotion. Powerful vocals! Andy's strings fit very nicely. Sorry, I could not find anything to "pick on" smile Sounds great! I like the artwork you used.

Thank you for sharing,
Misha.

I read in all posts I'm not alone with this statement.

A very good song, good lyrics that give some idea about the 'endless quitness' of a sudden end of a relation.
The only thing is you made me curious what happened? She didn't even took het jeans with her...

And beside all compliments on the song, I think the bariton fitted very nice in it. I like using them in my songs.

Have I said I enjoyed this song?

Hans

Thanks, Hans. I guess sometimes they want to get away so badly, they leave their favorite jeans behind... smile

A beautiful write!!!! A few decades ago, I took some songwriting classes from Steve Seskin. He said songs are made of furniture and emotion. Furniture is a description of an environment.......a picture for the listener. FJ is a MASTER of furniture!!! The descriptions are always so evocative ("gravel crunching").....puts you right there......you can hear it!! That is the product of the raw talent of imagination and years dedicated to a craft!!! And, on the emotion part, Floyd pretty much nails it too!!! A great song from a great writer!!!! Take care. Greg

Excellent.

The first thing I usually do is read through the lyrics before I listen to the song. I knew this would be good because you kept the essential words for your message. There was no trying to put too many words in a line.

Musically, this was very pleasing. I enjoyed the production, especially the stereo spread and instrument choices.
