Man there were some good Strats that were made in Japan. I had one but I am not sure if I still have it. I have a bunch of guitars in the warehouse in Texas my wife can sell when I die...lol
I called Rockin Robin in Houston, Texas with the idea of asking the owner Bart about the Japan guitar thing. I have not talked to him in some time so I was a little nervous about calling. So many of my friends have died. The number to the store is 713-529-5442. Bart is still alive and was so tied up we only had a few minuets to catch up.
There are several people who work there and could tell you about the guitar in question.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
