This is one that the Lord just gave me this week, and I recorded it this morning.

Five Loaves And Two Fishes

https://soundcloud.com/ronniefields/five-loaves-and-two-fishes

Of all the miracles he performed in his day,
one that's remembered, and still talked about today.
As he preached, upon a hillside,
the multitude they came.
But when they left, on that very day,
they would never be the same.

Five loaves and two fishes, there was no other meat,
he blessed it and broke it, everyone did eat.
Over five thousand, were fed on that day,
five loaves and two fishes, was the miracle that day.

My friend, if you're looking for a miracle today,
give your heart to Jesus, and in his name just pray.
Lift your hands toward heaven, and give him praises too,
if you have the faith of a mustard seed,
there's a blessing just for you.

Five loaves and two fishes, there was no other meat,
he blessed it and he broke it, everyone did eat.
Over five thousand, were fed on that day,
five loaves and two fishes, was the miracle that day.
Over five thousand, were fed on that day,
five loaves and two fishes, was the miracle that day.

The perfect backing tracks, great vocal, outstanding lyrics and message, what else could one ask for?

This may be your best to date.

Loved it

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Ronnie.
as an ex chorister i must say... nice lyrics/arrangement.
also let me add... useing a church choir in the song i feel would really elevate this song imho.
eg maybe the choruses ? "five loaves etc etc.."
every happiness to you.

Well done, Ronnie. Funny coincidence, I just opened Matt this week, following a two week trek through Isaiah.

What they said - sounds great in my headphones.

And the usual solid write and soulful vocal. Very pretty combination of instruments, excellent mix. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Ronnie,

Really pretty tune . . . soft and soothing. Nice vocal; love that guitar. Cool build on the production—like that cello a lot. Well done!

Wishing you the best for the Holidays,

Deej

Ronnie, great song and an excellent production. I sure liked the music you chose, the instruments you chose to play it, and the way you mixed it. The vocal sounds really good on this too. My only nit (a small one at that, and something I do sometimes too) is that the last two lines of the chorus end with the same word, "day". Perhaps with a bit of manipulation another word that rhymes, yet still portrays the meaning and feel could be found, but like I said - that's a very small nit. I think it's a good song.

As a side note, I sure liked the next song in your line-up, "Good Old Country Music". You always get such a good steel sound. What style did you use for the steel for that one?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
