Just installed Ultra 2021 and see a lot of Styles N/A (not found).
I guess they are just previews for add on packs.
So if my install was 100% successful, how many Found Styles should I see?

Have you had previous versions? Or is this a new install?

Seeing a lot of N/A's may be a config issue, where you have BiaB looking to the wrong folder for Styles .. Ultrapak should contain *most* of the styles. There are Add-on styles, but the definition of "a lot" could be ambiguous without knowing your actual numbers

How many do you see if you change the checkbox for 'Show N/A' to not show N/A in the stylepicker?
And with it set the other way. That will help us understand what 'a lot' is.

FWIW I show just under 6500 for base 2021, but that's just from testing the USB drive they shipped .. I do not speak for PGMusic or other users. Others may have more due to getting PlusPaks or Bonus Paks along the way.

Thanks, it is a new Ultra Pack install. No previous versions.

I get 6751 Found styles and 2096 N/A (not found).

So is that about right do you think?

It's a download install, not off USB.

Most probably close to the right number assuming you didn't purchase the XtraStyles PAKs 1-11, ProStyles PAK 1, Instrumental Studies, Lesson PAK and Bonus styles.

All of the things I mentioned are optional purchases available for an additional cost. Each of the options include styles.

So thanks for that.

Please open the Style Picker and click the Rebuild button; you can do a Fast rebuild. Then go to Help | What add-ons do I have. Look specifically at the RealTracks Sets and RealDrums Sets Not Found sections, and see if there are any Sets are listed there. If there are RealTracks or RealDrums Not Found, please re-install the Sets numbers listed.

If you are using Mac you would manually install the RealTracks. This video goes over how to download and install RealTracks for Mac: https://youtu.be/pF8ozIFmOe4

If you are using Windows, you can either manually install the RealTracks or use the Download Manager.
Here is our video on downloading and installing RealTracks manually for Windows: https://youtu.be/vHfatrraj_k
Info on how to use the Download Manager is here: https://www.pgmusic.com/tutorial_downloadmanager.htm

Chantelle, do you think it would be possible for PG Music to publish and maintain a simple table of how many styles are in each version each year, and in each of the add-ons and bonus Paks? I realize not everyone has the newest version, and there will be considerable differences between users based on the add-ons they have. But, if we have the base figures, we can add. This question is asked quite often.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
