It is that time again. The folks over in Scaler forum are buzzin this morning with release of Scaler 2.4.1
WARNING: If this is your first introduction to Scaler 2, you may want to start viewing from the beginning of this thread. Scaler 2.4.1 is for extreme musical nerds only!
Thanks a lot Dan... My day was all planned out, until I came across this thread... I'm in trouble now.

Don't blame the messenger!
But that aside, do you all believe 20,000+ views on this topic? I'm wondering where that ranks in the records for the # of views in the "off topic forum"?

must be a record, or close to it... Just looking at the Scaler 2+ Bundle... Would anyone recommend the "Producer's Guide to Scaler 2 ? Or is most of this information covered on youtube..?
Nanohost is free and will permit you to load Scaler2 as a standalone version. A standalone version makes Scaler 2 quick and easy to work off line and allows you to focus on its full feature set. Scaler 2 standalone has all the sounds and ability to save your work so when you do need to bring it all into your DAW it is there.

Thanks for the link to nanohost... I'll give it a try.
this nanohost program looks very interesting compared to enormous DAWs ; I will give a try too thanks for the link
I have a directory of shortcuts I set up for the multiple VSTs I wrap in Nanohost to play as standalones. Credits to @Rustyspoon for recommending this app a good year ago.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
