This has a four-bar intro. Next an eleven and one-half measure A section. The B section has 16 bars. I have not designed an outro yet.
Like many famous songs, it has no chorus. "Hey Jude" "Bohemian Rhapsody" are two of a zillion examples.
11.5 is for sure not normal but does it matter?

Does it matter, no.
If it sounds good it is good.
{Edit} an after thought if the song is in 4/4 time then that measure could be 2/4, much like Purple Rain and a number of others.

11.5 is for sure not normal but does it matter? Billy No... As Mario eludes to it depends on the aural smoothness of the chord voicings and the tempo at that point of the composition. Now you can finish that one.  That's my take...a good day to all.

No, the Beatles and others like them have done it all the time, not 11 per se, but I am sure they did somewhere.
I think Hey Jude goes to 2/4 once or twice, but some of their songs for sure.
Very common.
And if a verse is 11 bars or 11.5 and not 12, good for you!!

Throw away the rule book. The song can have as many bars as it needs, and each bar can have as many beats as it needs. Some of the world's greatest composers do exactly that.
