What a cool surprise Torrey. I kind of had to sit up when the song started. Your vocal was so different at the start.
Loved how the songs energy built through out the song. Very well done. One of your best..

FWIW, we don't hear any pop here just an excellent country tinged rock song.
Old school? new school? -- how about simply good? ... very good!

That genre or sub genre smile is one we are well familiar with and for us is timeless.

You nailed the arrangement and mix for this with the light open feel.
Plenty of space for everybody.

Great vocals, like Ray said excellent diction, with the fine lyric readily understood.
Ace guitar also.

Glad that radio dial landed on this!

Thanks beatmaster for taking time to listen and comment! I've never heard of the band you mentioned, but I will have to check them out. T

Very upbeat, great vox/bg and just a pleasure to listen to.

Well done!...per usual.

Thank you sir! I appreciate your comments but I don't think that bar is too high lol! T

Inspiration doesn't look for place or time when it strikes! Many words need to be kept inside or use a filter, but I'm glad you didn't keep this inside, good message put into a nicely rocking pop tune. Very good band, excellent solo, strong vocals, catchy chorus.

Clever word play and rhyme. Some of your best lyrics yet.

Musically, very engaging and well structured. I expect nothing less from you.

Yup, I would say country rock too.

You gotta go to it when the inspiration strikes, whether it is at the piano or in the bathroom.

You sound really different at the beginning of the song. I looked back to your comments to see if it was someone else...

Super catchy chorus! You do Pop the way it ought to be done. Songs worth hearing many times over.

Excellent all around.

Thanks Floyd for your comments! That was my "country" voice lol! Ironically, that type of vocal comes more naturally to me than a rock vocal does! T

Song , Lyrics , message, arrangement, mix , vox....all first class. Glad you snuck this one in !
Thats too many superlatives ... I'm getting soft in my old age smile

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
