INSIDE INSIDE LYRIC VIDEO If you can't say something good about someone don't say..... you know how it goes! Well folks here I am eating my own words! On my last song post I stated it would probably be a while before I posted another one but this song hit me like a bolt out of the blue! I had to carve out some time to work on it before I lost the inspiration for it! Funny how that works! I feel good about this one and hope you folks feel it deserved the time to put it together! I guess that this one would fall in the Country Rock genre but correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks again for taking time to have a listen! Yep, justanoldmuso stole my response - wow!
This is a big sound. Great use of BIAB but the lyrics and that electric guitar are the stars of this show.
I love the message. It's my daily struggle - restraint of tongue and pen. It's usually two steps up and one step back for me. It's a life long effort. Well worth it though.
Top notch work here.

Excellent country pop rock Torrey. Great chorus melody. Something I've not mentioned but often noted is your excellent diction while singing.
Good band..well augmented by your own parts.
Ace, truly ace.

Torrey This was a breath of fresh air to me !, well produced and mixed , vocals deliver the song to its best !!,
I likened this to a brit band called Squeeze , now thats a compliment !!.

You don't say, Torrey. Man, you seem to be hit by this bolt so often. Really good one here, too. The melody is really cool and moving, and the lyrics add to it. You know, you sound like the amalgamation of all the best bands I ever enjoyed. Lightning bolts aren't random --they always seek the best receptacle, and these bolts out of the blue know where to strike for the best results.

Torrey,
Excellent write!
A quality production. Nice use of the BAND and nice additions of your own.
Terrific vocals. As always. You sound really different at the beginning of the song. I looked back to your comments to see if it was someone else...
Super catchy chorus! You do Pop the way it ought to be done. Songs worth hearing many times over.
Excellent all around.

Hi Torrey. The name Torrey Bliss is synonomous with quality as this song demonstrates. At first glance the lyrics seemed too wordy but you shoehorned them fautlessly into the narrative with all the stressed syllables beatmatching to perfection. You have assembled a fine band which supports and compliments the dexterity of your pleasing and fitting guitar playing. Do I detect a Brad Paisley/Tim McGraw vibe in your excellent vocals? Chorus harmonies sound great. Song , Lyrics , message, arrangement, mix , vox....all first class. Glad you snuck this one in ! Thats too many superlatives ... I'm getting soft in my old age regards Gary.

FWIW, we don't hear any pop here just an excellent country tinged rock song. Old school? new school? -- how about simply good? ... very good! That genre or sub genre is one we are well familiar with and for us is timeless. You nailed the arrangement and mix for this with the light open feel. Plenty of space for everybody. Great vocals, like Ray said excellent diction, with the fine lyric readily understood. Ace guitar also. Glad that radio dial landed on this! J&B

Inspiration doesn't look for place or time when it strikes! Many words need to be kept inside or use a filter, but I'm glad you didn't keep this inside, good message put into a nicely rocking pop tune. Very good band, excellent solo, strong vocals, catchy chorus.

Killer stuff—great pop tune. Catchy melody, outstanding write (love all those internal rhymes), terrific vocal and stellar mix. The chorus is an ear worm. Very impressive offering! Great work on this!

Torrey,
Killer stuff—great pop tune. Catchy melody, outstanding write (love all those internal rhymes), terrific vocal and stellar mix. The chorus is an ear worm. Very impressive offering! Great work on this!
All my best to you,
Deej Thanks Deej! I appreciate it! T

Hi Torrey,
It's been a while for us, but we can see that your songs have gottenn even more PRO than before! This is a great one and we're hearing some distinct influences of Shania Twain, Tom Petty and Brooks and Dunn. Great guitar solo by the way! Great work!

I'm real late to this party but super happy that I did catch this masterpiece.
Super vocal and lyrics. Outstanding production all the way around.
This is your best to date IMHO.
Loved everything about it.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Wow! This should be playing on country and/or Christian radio right now...brilliant track and melody only topped by the lyrics and inspirational, challenging lyrics! If you have a fan club, sign me up! Torrey, you are IMO the best writer (as well as recording artist) on this forum and this is another gem...great write!!

Hi Torrey,
This is a most impressive country pop song.
I particularly liked your vocals and the doubling and harmonies you have used.
Do you use a plugin to generate these - if so which one?
Best Regards Nigel

Hi Torrey. This is a really great song. I like it from the beginning to the end. Had to translate the lyrics for myself though ;-) This one is absolutely great too. Even if through the translation a little bit got lost in the translation. Is in any case already saved in my playlist. I imagine the song played live. Then after the guitar solo you should just play with the drums and sing the chorus with the audience before it really starts again. That would be really cool. Many greetings Andi ;-)

Hi Torrey,
I can only agree with everyone here! Great song, catchy melody, choruses to fall in love with and strong lyrics! And a funny start...
I think All your songs (or most) have very catchy choruses. You are very good on that! They give a feeling of very strong pop songs. They even sound familiair.
I enjoyed it very much (again!!!) Hans

Best Regards Nigel Thanks Nigel! I appreciate it! As for the vocals I just used standard plugins like delay compression and reverb. I do like to double track the lead vocal and insert a slight bit of blank space at the front of time-line (usually around 15 ms) on the second track! I always sing the harmony parts.T

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
