Haven't created a new song for awhile as I had been revisiting and remixing my older songs. So decided to have a go at a new one. I found this when auditioning styles for the new chord progressions. It is the Joni style. It was an older style and most of the tracks were midi. I took the midi tracks and used the BBC and Labs plugins on the midi files. I used some a couple of different Real Drum tracks and Acoustic Real tracks. Flipped the key of the song a couple of times and add this melody. Hans had mentioned he had used a talk box on one of his songs so I found a talking wah effect on one of my H9's and used it with my lap steel. Joni BBDrums_RealDrums BrushesAndBlues [Multi]_SingleRender_DragDrop BBDrums_RealDrums PopRock8ths^01-ClHtSnr,OpHtSnr_SingleRender_DragDrop N A ~1118 Guitar, 12-String Acoustic, Strumming Ev 085 N A 2534 Guitar, 12-String Acoustic, HeldChords MIDI Accoustic Piano MIDI Standard Drum Kit MIDI Accoustic Piano MIDI Synth Strings Song was recorded, mixed and mastered in Studio One 5 using the BIAB Daw Plugin.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the listen.
You have some very tasty guitar sounds on this song plus a haunting melody.
Well done.

I instantly started tapping my toes to the beat. This could be a soundtrack to an old Clint Eastwood spaghetti western. Appropriately dark guitar playing. I like it. Nice style the band churned up.

Hi Scott,
I miss that Talk box...
But seriously, since I know all about movies, I agree with Jptjptjpt your song could be a soundtrack in a (remake of old) Clint Eastwood movie. You played that lead guitar so well in it. There comes a day we both make a song! But yours I enjoyed!

Scott. lovely guitar tones and nice sound pictures.
if i can make one comment, from a production standpoint.. the way i hear it is i hear this genre very very light on the drums. imho it will stand on its own EXTREMELY WELL with subtle/occasional drum strikes... cos its tres en francais "cinematique". maybe just little drum pictures here and there. you obviously have a great talent for instrumentals...
and i would love to hear what you might do with shadows style instrumentals.
great effort. bestest om

Ah, back when I was homeless I only had a bass, a stereo, and 6 albums --3 Joni Mitchell and 3 Harry Nilsson. Man, it would've been great to have you visit. Such amazing tone and taste in your playing. Beautiful melodies soaring seamlessly in and around the music. Very creative and engaging.

Hi Scott.
Another fine creation to add to your songbook.
I love the tone of your guitar and your playing is immensely lyrical. It's so easy to sit back and listen to this.
I enjoyed letting your music create images in my mind.
Thank you, Noel
