When I don't use a filter in the Style Picker: After re-opening the Style Picker, the current style is highlighted in the Style List, as reasonable and as surely intended.
But when I do use a filter in the Style Picker: After re-opening the Style Picker, the current style is not highlighted in the Style List (and I have to remember the style name by myself or otherwise I have to close the Style Picker again to look up the name, and also I have to scroll the whole way down again if I want to go on checking out syles from there on).
I think that this is some kind of bug - fixing this would make the search for the right style much more convenient (but I have BiaB 2020, so maybe this is already fixed in BiaB 2021).

I think this might be related to this setting:
BIAB & RB2024 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones

A fast, easy workaround until this feature improvement is implemented is to place your cursor in the white block area at the top of the StylePicker screen, click and hold the left button on the mouse and slide the screen downward to expose the Main Screen underneath and reveal the current Style name, BPM, Feel, Time signature and Key thus avoiding closing the StylePicker just to refresh your memory for this information.
This also retains the current Style search selection allowing you to proceed with your search without the need to scroll back down the page.
Although VideoTrack's solution is not consistent with the description of that checkbox (the current style DOES match the current filter but anyway isn't highlighted after re-opening the style picker): Wow, activating this checkbox seems to work!
Anyway, I'll also keep in mind Charlie's workaround, just in case ;-)
Thanks a lot, U2!!

i dont know if this helps in this case... but heres a trick i use to maintain my position in stylepicker. 1. lets say i'm auditioning oodles of styles haveing laid out my basic bed trak chords in biab chord sheet, and lets say after auditioning 100 styles and saveing the ones i like...i take my wife out for a little jaunt in the car.....SO.. 2. before i close down my rig/pc i save the latest style i was on in biab as LATESTSTYYLE file name. THUS...when i boot up biab again....i clik LATESTSTYLE file et voila, my position in the stylepicker is back so i can carry on auditioning styles sthat i havent tried yet.
bestest. i'm a stylish old muso...my wife says i look good in a suit...lmao
Ah I see - VideoTrack's solution seems to work quite well, but I'll keep your tip in mind as well! Thanks ;-)

<< The worst thing for me is that when I choose a style, when I want to return to StylePicker, I can't find the one I just selected. >>
BIAB addresses the above issue of recalling a Style just selected and also to Remember/highlight the current Style in a filtered StylePicker search and can do it directly from the Chord Sheet without having to access the StylePicker Page and apply search parameters.
See the attached Screen Shot doing this from the BIAB Main Page Chord Sheet.
this is quoting swingbaby from the other style picker issue thread, right? I think he also wants to find the current style right in the Style Picker in order to have an efficient starting point for checking out further styles (above all have already been tested, below all haven't been tested yet).

The StylePicker has three methods to do that if anyone takes the time to implement their choice to fit their personal workflow.
The method best suited for "I think he also wants to find the current style right in the Style Picker in order to have an efficient starting point for checking out further styles (above all have already been tested, below all haven't been tested yet)."
To have StylePicker focus on listing similar Styles (Real and Midi) to the current Style (or any Style user Highlights):
We both have solved the problem meanwhile, but other new users will probably have the same issue and will probably not find the solution in many cases, since it's just not reasonable that the current style is highlighted in an unfiltered list but not in a filtered re-opened list.
Anyway the feature that you mentioned is quite intersting, Charie - I didn't know about this option so far and I'll check it out.
