Inner Peace

If you are not at peace with yourself you will never be at peace with the rest of the world.

BiaB style = C2_Andy- EV8 Country Ballad
Tempo = 75

I deleted the drums because the MIDI chart version of the RD was nothing like the actual RD.

Drums - Steven Slate SSD-5 - preset Deluxe Funk - MIDI loops from Groove Monkey
Bass = Kontakt - Kirk Hunter Virtuoso bass
Cellos - bass track 8via - Kontakt - Kirk Hunter Virtuoso Cello
Piano - EZ Keys Dream Machine - MK Dreams
High strings - Kontakt - Kirk Hunter Virtuoso strings
Low strings - high strings down one octave - Kontakt - Kirk Hunter Virtuoso strings
Note - all tracks modified to my liking and hopefully yours also

I am playing the following:
My nylon String guitar
My keyboard controller - cello solo - Kontakt - Kirk Hunter Lyric Series - Benning Cello
My wind controller - Kontakt - Jubal Flute

FXs - all but the drum tracks = Presonus Pro EQ
All drum tracks - Wave's CLA drums
All but the bass, cello and kick drum = Raum reverb
My nylon string guitar and wind controlled flute - Presonus limiter
Master - Presonus Pro EQ

Let me know what you think.

This song has a really lovely, serene, and easy quality to it. It was definitely a very calming experience to listen to it. Great job!

Smooth and mellow as a lazy summer's day.

I really love the tone of the Jubal Flute - it's got an almost saxophone feel.

Nice mix and balance between the instruments. Well, the guitar comes in a bit loud at 2:35.

The strings playing the counter line at the end worked really well.

So... peaceful... so... sleepy. wink

Good work!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Artful and soulful music.

If you're not at peace with yourself, listen to this, That's my advice. The flute floats me away and that sweet guitar makes me glad I did. Then the flute brings me higher --or lower, can't tell which-- and each new horizon becomes clearer. Beautiful, Mario.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Excellent.

All the parts are well done. Cool flute, smooth nylon. Everything fits. Really nice mix.

Beautiful.

Mario,
Good deal! Nice playing on your wind controller. Nylon guitar has a very nice line, kind of slow Bossa motif.
Since you are open to comments, here is my 3 cents. I think from 1:04 to 1:40 strings overpowering guitar... And I would prefer to hear more of that guitar in that segment. Also a spike in a guitar, which David mentioned. Other than that, very nice.
Thank you for sharing.
Misha.

The flute is very human voice like...nice.
Your nylon guitar playing is lovely but yes that 1st phrase at 2.30 odd is loud and is visually marked on the wave form too. It alters the perceived volume of the phrases after it.
I'm not sure this needed the percussion so far forward but that's not a deal breaker anyway.

Cheers

Thanx so much David for the comments and the constructive criticism. I was having problems in that area and thought that I had it right but obviously I was wrong so thanx for pointing that out.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
