I uses BIAB latest version and created a song. I recorded and saved vocals on Audio track, but when replaying, the vocals start 2 bars ahead of time. Anyone have a remedy?
Open the BIAB Audio Editor and select the Audio Track. Select and highlight the entire audio WAV file by placing the cursor at the very beginning of the Audio WAV and cut it (Ctrl-X), move the cursor to the correct opening bar and paste and all should be well.
what driver are you using, what soundcard/interface? 2 exact bars lag seems a bit odd
Bob, I think the issue results from recording audio defaults to -1 bar as the start of the song unless another starting point is designated and selected. It seems to be the default regardless whether recording audio or importing audio.
mmmmmmmmmm - that would make sense but am i right in thinking BIAB doesn't allow audio monitoring the same way RB does? with my set up in RB you sing along with the playback on the usb interface monitor and everything lines up. the BIAB recording method seems a little odd if you can't sync with the track by default.
is the OP singing along with the BIAB playback and then BIAB is placing the recording 2 bars early? if changing the default cures the problem maybe the default needs tweaking with a patch.

<< BIAB doesn't allow audio monitoring the same way RB does? >>
Correct, BIAB does not have audio monitoring of the recording material. However, the artist does hear the backing track and it's easy to sync recording audio.

Nope. The default is correct. For whatever reason it needs to be changed, be it importing a file, starting a recording at any other than the default position, both the recording audio menu window and the import window menu take this into account and have provided boxes to complete to begin recording or set input to exactly where the user wants to place them. The default takes care of normal recording or input making allowance for the required 2 bars offset built into the BIAB program.
