I've been trying to use ACW in BIAB 2019 Pro. I've watched the tutorial videos and the stuff on youtube... but my ACW works differently in that it opens a separate programme rather than integrating with the audio and chords window.
I see that using the audio edit view gives a marker mode of ACW... but if I use this option I get an error for the TEMPMAIN.WAV file saying it can't open. Am I missing something?
Did the use of ACE in BIAB change for 2019?
Any ideas why the TEMPMAIN.WAV can't open?
Also, I'm not able to drag my .mp3 file into the chord area from file explorer - is this normal?
It could also be a permissions issue; you could try running BiaB As Administrator and see if that helps. Right-click the program icon and select Run as Administrator.
I reckon Pipeline's suggestion would work, but in case it doesn't you have another option. If you do find TEMPMAIN.WAV in your BB folder, try renaming it to TEMPMAIN2.WAV or similar so BiaB doesn't find it and has to create a new one ... if that works you can probably delete the old one (or listen to it and see what it is and if you need it)
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
As this might help future users looking for answers, here's a great video that goes over how to use the Audio Chord Wizard that was done with the update to it in 2020:

I'm trying to learn how the use ACW wtching this video. How do I disable the repeat sign in the chord chart? I have style disabled, but the count at the beginning seems to be based on the listed style. I found a style for the song I was analyzing because it is a pop standard, but how do I make the count correct if the song I'm analyzing is not in the styles search list? Are there instructions in the manual that cover this subject? Thank you.

In addition to Charlie's answer to change the number of Choruses to 1, you can also disable the "loop entire song" feature.
I've succeeded in completing an ACW project. When I go to "Print to PDF" in the Lead Sheet Window, I receive a dialog box "Print-to-PDF Driver (PD995) is not installed yet. Would you like to install it now?" I follow the process to install the driver and power off reboot the machine only to receive teh same dialog box "Print-to-PDF Driver (PD995) is not installed yet. Would you like to install it now?" What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
Is your computer using Windows 10? If so then the Print to PDF (PD995) application has been superseded.
Windows 10 includes a built-in, or native, PDF application that treats printing to a PDF file as a normal printing application.
Yes, I am on Windows 10. If it matters, I'm using the 64-bit version of the application. I don't know the step by step procedure to arrive at the attachment you included. None of the keystroke sequences I've tried so far have allowed me to arrive at a dropdown with an option for "Microsoft Print to PDF." One thing I tried actually froze the application, and I had to open Task Manager to force close the application. Thanks for your help.

On Windows Search-bar, type the word 'Printers', press Enter and see if Microsoft Print to PDF is available in your installed printers. If so, then in BiaB choose that Printer when you want to print to PDF.

Try going to C:\bb\Data\Installers\PDF995 Installer (for 2018 and older, it is under C:\bb\Installer\BBHelper\PDF995) and run the autosetup file as the administrator (by right clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator). Many times the program will install in the background without seeing an installer pop up. However, if one does appear, follow the steps in the installer and then re-open Band-in-a-Box.
If that doesn't install the PDF995 driver on your system, you won't want to use the "Print to PDF button".
Instead, make sure you have a PDF writer installed on your computer (ie. Adobe PDF or Cute PDF). You can download one of these programs free from the internet if you haven't already.
Then, in your LeadSheet Print options window, click the "setup printer" button and change the default printer to your PDF writer. When you click "OK-Print" now it will automatically print to PDF for you.

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
