He Didn’t See MeI recorded this song many years ago and I couldn’t find my original BB files. I recorded the vocals and played the strings but I don’t know what style I would have used back then. I always tend to stick to basic country styles.

When I was a young man I met the Lord, Jesus Christ.
I believed that he died for my sins when he was crucified.
Still in the back of my mind was this lingering doubt.
That not even a flood of the Savior’s pure blood could wash my sins out.
Then one night while sleeping I dreamed that I stood at God’s throne.
With no one beside me I faced this great judge all alone.
The angels cried holy, holy to God the Most High.
Then He looked straight at me and I fell to my knees and I thought I would die.
Chorus:
But the father saw Jesus, His holy son.
He did not see all the bad things I’d done.
He saw the blood that flowed down Calvary’s tree for me.
Thank God when He looked my way, He didn’t see me.
He’s removed all my sins just as far as the east from the west.
He has cast all my guilt to the sea of His forgetfulness.
He’s declared me not guilty because of His son’s righteousness.
For I’d found His mercy when I met his son and confessed.
