According to Logic, this chord I'm looking at now has 187,230 notes, and it is an E7/maj7/b9/9/#9/11/b13. Name that tune!!

That’s some cluster. But it doesn’t even tell you if ifs a major or minor third. I’ll concede it is augmented.

Perhaps you're referring to A Day in the Life?

There's quite a lot of debate what's in that final chord, after all... wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

.. or the opening chord for Hard Days Night
they did that more than once smile

A Day In The Life had orchestra though so that added a lot of harmonics and resonance

Yes that is the mother of all clusters shocked

But being a smart guitarist I would play an E chord and let the rest of the band/orchestra fight over the rest of the notes wink

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

yeah, that's pretty much a cluster *
7th and maj 7th, b9,9,#9 .. plus 11 and b13 .. I'm running out of fingers trying to voice that <grin>
I have Steely Dan charts easier than that

How ironic is it that an illogical chord like that came from Logic...

I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

Wait a moment. This isn’t a joke, it’s an actual chord in some song?

No. What happened was I just selected every note in every region of a multi track piece with a LOT of notes. Seems kind of silly for Logic to be offering that chordal insight for the whole piece, but I guess it's a question of where you draw the line.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
