First off, I want to be CLEAR that I am not here promoting this. I know, pretty much, nothing about it, aside from it keeps popping up in my facebook timeline and google searches.
Before I say more (my comments would possibly be wrong our of ignorance), has anyone heard or used this program?

Download the PDF.
It has some good tips in it.
Nothing nefarious about it.
It's essentially a 19 page document with some good tips and tricks on how to get ideas for your songs.
Stuff like:
Qualities of a Successful Chorus • The title has emphasis.! • It stands out.! • The chorus lyric summarizes or comments on the main idea of the verse/prechorus lyric.! • It is the emotional high point of the song.! • It is the most intense part of the song.! • It is the climax of the song.! • It feels like it lifts.! • It is easy to sing.! • It is easy to remember.!
So get it and read it.
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

I've done the course and continue to pop into Graham's site every once in a while.
He's got lots of good advice. While he doesn't acknowledge it (at least, not where I could find), many of his ideas are from Berklee lecturers (Pat Pattison, Andrea Stolple, and others). To me, this suggests that he is either a Berklee graduate or has been involved with the Berklee system at some point in time. This is a good thing because Berklee College has achieved outstanding success in the songwriting world.
I have no problem at all recommending the course to you. I paid around $20 to do it. I didn't bother taking any of the other courses that were offered along the way.
Hope this helps, Noel

Yeah, Don brought this up last week on the Woodshedding forum and I checked it out. I downloaded the free .PDF too and got the emails from them for about a week straight daily. Haven't cut loose on the training at this point. It didn't seem expensive. Don's Post

Honestly I'd say the guys an absolute thug. He has an upsales process on steroids that is utterly confusing, super long copy, one upsales offer after another, totally like hitting you on the head with it. I complained about that as I was genuinely bamboozled, but he clearly has zero ethics so instead of accepting it as legitimate customer feedback he cancelled my account to the material I had purchased rather than contemplate his [*****] upsales process. Yuk. Anyway, I think this gives you a sense of the kind of person you are dealing with if you do choose to purchase from him.

I always like to research people who are teaching songwriting. This guy, Graham English, for all I can tell, is the keyboardist in a wedding band in Boston. He bills himself as a "singer/songwriter", but he has no songs copyrighted. His only copyrights (2) are for his books on Logic Pro X. He does have a page on Soundcloud, with two songs on it. https://soundcloud.com/grahamenglishI remain unimpressed. Regards, Bob

(1) composition....with a less than favorable comment. I did expect to see more based on the 'speedsongwriting' reference. HTL.... No, I've never heard of it. Nor would I be interested in the approach, in this context. I prefer slow, deliberate in my song writing. A great day to all....

For those that didn't catch it, this is nearly a 6 year old post that a new user just resurrected.

You probably didn't intend for this to sound as funny as it does. =8^)

If the intent was to write songs quickly to meet a deadline, we likely missed it.

For those that didn't catch it, this is nearly a 6 year old post that a new user just resurrected. Before Google Groups implemented a reply time limit, people were replying to 20-year-old USENET posts as if they were in the middle of a conversation. This could get really creepy when you'd see the same person, 20 years apart, replying again to the same post by someone else who dropped out of the argument 20 years ago.
