Make a keyboard for chord builder?
This allows you to see what notes are included in each selected chord.
Make finding chords more accurate.
For example, I chose the chord in Scaler, but I couldn't find it in BIAB.
Actually, there should be, but the name is different.
Therefore, how to have a keyboard display containing sound will be more convenient.

Any assistance that allows you to see what notes are included in each selected chord would be very useful.

We have the reverse, with Window, MIDI Chord Detection. Great feature, at least in the Windows version. It gives you alternatives. I suspect you might appreciate seeing several inversions of the chord as well? Or just root position?

There is a corollary to this request that we have also discussed: the ability to position or freeze or step through the chords of a song and see the notes on a keyboard. Right now, you can see them go by on the Big Keyboard, or view the notes on a staff, but to my knowledge you can’t isolate a particular chord to see on the keyboard.

My request is very simple, that is, to see what notes this chord contains.
Because I use Scaler to find chords, but the chord naming methods of scale and BIAB are different
Some chords are in BIAB. I don't know how to input them. If I can display which sounds are included, I will know whether it is correct.
I prefer to drag and drop the chord of Scaler directly into BIAB, but I think it is difficult to achieve.

Ok I see. That helps.

Since there are a finite number of chord types, feel free to post the Scaler chord(s) here and we can tell you how to enter them into BIAB.

<< I prefer to drag and drop the chord of Scaler directly into BIAB, but I think it is difficult to achieve. >>

You may want to attempt to copy and paste the chords from Scaler into any text editor program. Windows systems have Notepad.

Select (highlight) and all of the chords from notepad to the Clipboard.

Open BIAB

Use the keyboard to hit these three keys: Ctrl-Shift-V (This is the Paste Special command in BIAB. )

This will input all of the copied text chords into the BIAB Chord Sheet bars.

Note: Chords can also be copied and pasted from a BIAB song into Notepad or any other text editor.

For now, how does one tell what notes BIAB associates with a given named chord? Say, the notorious Cdim.

Two considerations:

1) I want a "live" authoritative answer from my installation of BIAB regarding what the software is doing, not something from a help screen or manual or webpage or forum. And I don't want to have to guess what it was "thinking" based on complicated parts it cranks out, I want to see that "Cmaj" is associated with the triad C-E-G.

2) I don't care about the vagaries of RealTracks and what real musicians might play.

Is there somewhere I can look that will show an active table or something?

This is not just a polite answer. Because I have made many suggestions, and all of them have been submitted to the team.
But I didn't see any change.
We hope to achieve it in 2022

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
