When you place the mouse over generate, generate all tracks on the current page will be displayed below. However, since 4.0, it is not the current page, but all pages. In fact, I never need to generate all the pages, but since 4.0 has been modified, I will modify the following to avoid misunderstanding. Finally, I suggest a setting for the generate button, that is, you can set to generate only the current page or all pages. Because, as far as I know, no one wants all pages to be generated every time.
Swing, do you click custom? Check out the options there. Just thinking here, but since the tracks are being updated to being all the same “all tracks are equal” then the generation button takes on a new meaning clicking it generates all tracks being used. Under custom you have multiple options to generate pages, and individual tracks.
Not sure if that helps.

Yes, now I can only click Customize. However, I personally think that only generating the current page is suitable for more people. Because no one generates it all every time. This leads to a problem that the generate button is placed on the top, but no one clicks at all. Because no one will continue to generate all. On the contrary, the content determined just now cannot be found because it has been regenerated due to careless clicking. I know that clicking customize can generate the current page, but it is not convenient to click directly. So this change raises some problems: 1: Easy to make mistakes 2: Steps become complex 3: Full build takes more time. Most importantly, I haven't seen anyone say that the past is bad. In the past, only the current page was generated, which is very reasonable. These are just personal views. My current situation is that I never click the generate button, because I'm worried about accidentally clicking the wrong button and regenerating all.
Thanks swingbabymix! As I've mentioned before, the reason the GENERATE button was changed to fit the new track structure in the plugin. As Rob mentioned, "all tracks are equal" and there are now styles that will load instruments onto utility tracks. This is why it makes sense to have the button generate all the pages. I will look into adding an option in the preferences dialog to set the action of the GENERATE button. Hope this helps!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
