Joni Mitchell was one of the honorees. Norah Jones did expectedly great renditions. The big surprise for me was Ellie Golding who absolutely nailed Big Yellow Taxi including the ambiguous notes where you were never sure what note Joni was reaching down for. I was expecting a disaster when they announced Ellie because I’ve always put her in the auto tuned pop star category. But it was a great pick.

Later on Paul Simon played America and while his voice wasn’t strong his chord formations and reach showed incredible continued flexibility. Expertly played.
