Ride To The Morning Light Hi Folks, This song is about a prisoner, working on the railroad and dreaming of escape on the next train. It may have been inspired by that wonderful scene from the "Blazing Saddles" movie. Fantastic song. Real nice instrumental breaks, sounds like a live jam. Your vocal is outstanding. Great mix.
This maybe your best to date.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thanks Mario,
Yes - not my usual style but quite pleased with the results. Looking forward to getting stuck into all the new 2022 Realtracks.

Great track! Love the guitar intro and the way the piano enters so naturally. Vocals are perfect and the BGVs are icing. I'm going to have to watch that movie again someday, it's a classic.

Yeah!
Very different than what I'm used to hearing from you, Nigel, but man, you nailed it! Excellent vocals and piano work.
Great track, loved it.

Def different to your "usual". That guitar is one of the few BIAB rock guitars I really like. I suspect some magic on your part in the mix. Once the piano & harmonica are in the mix things seem a little narrow but it still sounds good. Nice vocal performance.

Hello Nigel I like your song very much You have used BiaB really very well For example the drums at 1:39 is really great Or the ending. Really really good. The whole mix is right on point. Your vocals can absolutely keep up. You really make your song rock. Makes tremendous fun Thanks for sharing Many greetings Andi ;-)

Nigel,
Great sounding track. Nice use of the Stones-style guitar.
Excellent vocals. A very solid mix - everything in a good space.
This might be my favorite of your posts (so far...)
Good stuff.

This sounds great Nigel. I reminds me of a great Southern Rock Band, but their name is slipping my mind. It will come to me. Not the Allman Brothers, but that would be close. Anyway, great job!!

Hello Nigel ...
You hit the nail square on the head - everything about this shines! There's not a single thing to complain about anywhere in this project. That piano rocks! Great stuff - totally loved it!

Well done on every level, Nigel. Good story idea and well expressed in the lyrics and the music, which strongly supports the theme. The piano, as always is tops. Yes, this song could definitely be part of the soundtrack for Blazing Saddles.

Excellent, upbeat song, despite its subject. Would have loved to have seen the lyrics, though, as I listened ... a very small quibble! But yes ... had me tapping my feet throughout! That piano and harmonica, at around the two minute mark ... brilliant :-) . And those piano glissandi at around 2:49 !!!
Really, really well done. Superb, professional quality, as I've come to expect from you. Bravo.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
