What an I doing wrong or can't BiaB so this. I'm trying to do a song similar to I'm a Man. I put the Micro chords in but everything get messed up big time. I have restarted this song many times so I know it is not a corrupted file. I have used many different MIDI blues style with all yielding the identical results. I tried to search the database but I couldn't find anything that would help. I have attached the SGU file so hopefully you can hear what I am hearing and maybe someone can show me what I am doing wrong.
Thanx in advance for your time and efforts, it is much appreciated.
PS - I'm using 2022 BiaB version 914.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Ok, Muddy Waters' version is a shuffle feel... I'll play around with it. I've played this song hundreds of times over the years... achieving that feel in BIAB is tricky...
I think the microchord sections are missing the A to make biab play corectly - start with the primary chord first not the microchord. Thats the chord that gets greyed out.

Hope this helps a bit

I thought of that but that didn't do the trick. Attached is my example.

Ok, this is what I came up with. another old Muddy Waters tune with a similar feel... attached, is my Biab file. I also posted a vocal version on my SC page...
Thanx Bloc-head and Cerio. Both of your versions are using RTs while mine used MIDI. I just experimented with your SGUs and replaced your RTs with MIDI. Sometimes it worked and other times it didn't. Apparently micro chords work perfectly with RTs but not with MIDI. Thus it looks like I will have to do my song with RTs then in my DAW change them to MIDI.
Thanx again for your help.

You're welcome... Micro Chords are not perfect, but hopefully will be. At least I got another tune in the can... or is it a "Can 'o Tuna" ???
I noticed that on the ending you have A7-D7 A7-E but the song only plays 1 chord for those bars even after doing regeneration.
You seeing the same thing?
Yes I did... I think BIAB is generating its own ending, and ignoring my entered chords... I will edit my SGU, and uncheck "Generate 2 bar Ending for this song"... stay tuned.
I suggested this Strum Pattern Generator for Rapidcomposer and it was implemented in a short time. I suggested it to PG some time back. This would be good with the new RT sample sets to create any strum pattern you like, see it has a keyswitch option for virtual instruments with a mute keyswitch. You don't get stuck in the dialog either you can do other things.
Like we say up here in the northeastern part of the USA "Don't worry about it"!
PS - I did get what I wanted in around-about way. I did one measure of that intro in BiaB, took it to my DAW, then cut and paste and shifted all four tracks. Then I went back into BiaB and did the rest of the song. I have a lot of work ahead of me to put it all together, i.e. placing those sections where I want them. I just wish I could have laid this out in entirely BiaB.

End is in 62
not anymore... I changed the song file and unchecked "Generate 2 bar Ending for this song" My new ending has a shot at bar 62, and then finally ends at bar 66 I've attached the new file below, but you'll have to download it, and change the filetype to .SGU... (BTW, this is not exactly the way my studio version ends)

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
