I assume you want a midi file for the Chord Chart which includes Chord Markers and block chords. So it has not changed in years. It is a two step process. First in preferences set the "OutputCh" Second from the Midi Main Menu Dropdown, select "File on disk".
The only thing is that when I import this file into e.g Reaper or EZKeys it has the the blank two bars intro. I had everything set as in your screenshots.
CMAN. dunno if this helps or not. might be usefull in the future. there is a simple "trick" i use to correlate item positions tween reaps and biab. as follows. 1. in biab i use bar letters in chord sheet as follows.. I = INTRO V = VERSE C = CHORUS L = LEAD BREAK/SOLO etc O = OUTTRO. 2. THEN ... you know how to insert reaps markers i assume. in reaps i do same. I/V/C/L/O nomenclature. makes it a doddle to line things up going tween biab and reaps. 3. you can use layers in bb to add comments above a chord eg LEAD BREAK 1...to match expanded reaps marker names.
THUS i never worry bout bb settings for metronome start etc etc. or other settings in bb. IN ADDITION a added trick i employ IS...in bb... my first 4 bars on the chord sheet are MY OWN intro beats, which..when exported to reaps make it even easier to later line things up when items are exported from bb. eg in bb..lets say song is in key d minor. thus first 4 bars in bb is ... Dm.d Dm.d Dm.d Dm.d in essence my first 4 bars in bb are purely for reference/lining up items tween bb and reaps.
If you mute all the tracks in BB you will just get the midi chord track when saving. Dragging a RT/DR RealChart or midi track to MID will export midi chord track with midi, when enabled in Prefs. If you want the chords as well as the chord names as midi markers just open the SGU in BB Standalone C:\bb\BBPlugin\Files\Band-in-a-Box DAW Plugin Standalone.exe Right click on the C7 top of chord sheet for setting the drag C7 into DAW to get chord names also.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
