A bit of a spoof on the James Bond idea (the original lyrics are great fun), written by P.F.Sloan and Steve Barn c1965/66 for the USA release of the UKs 'Danger Man' 1960's TV series, renamed for the USA as 'Secret Agent Man', which starred Patrick McGoohan. Song sung by Johnny Rivers. The USA obviously didn't like OUR theme music for the series. Lol. BT was made in Band in a Box from RTs using a BLANK 4/4 Style. My arrangement is slightly different to the original. Style is BLANK.STY (Blank 4/4 Even 8th Utility Style) RealTracks in song: 995:Bass, Electric, HardRockLA Ev 120 RealTracks in song: 686:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 120 RealTracks in song: 2681:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Pop8thsZaneLow Ev 120 RealDrums in Song:RockHardLA^1-a:Snare, HiHat , b:Snare, Loose HiHat The final chord is awesome. For those who like such things its EmMaj7(9). BB only has EmMaj7 and even then not all RTs have it, so I overdubbed my guitar playing the chord to highlight that required F#. In perfect hindsight the ending choruses pre Coda are probably too many but it is what it is. six. magnifico. you are a major guitar talent imho. i often play along to the original (he he...includeing that slideing in trik with open high end e if i remember.) huge kudos. blew me away. i think i know who to come to next time i need a great lead guitar player on a original song. i'm quite prepared to beg you...lol. i gotta say ive worked in the past in big studios with extremely talented session guitarists way better than i on guitar...and your right up there, respect/best. om

That is a great idea, I wish people would do it more often! I'm playing with it now. Song was fun to listen to, sometimes the lead sounded out of step with the band but maybe that's OK. Nice to hear a lead melody handled by something other than a singer. Oh, and I'm starting to have strong feelings about that chord, thanks for keeping it true. PS – just started thread about how to handle it in BIAB: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=699243

Hi Mark Thank you fr your constructive crit - much appreciated. Yes - there are times when my timing is a bit off BUT I also have a recording issue wherby my analogue guitar signal, even if spot on timing wise actually wanders about when played back. I've never really resolved it. Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Lol Bests Ian PS - I posted in the wrong place so have moved it.

Nice listen Ian and yes that last chord was awesome! Yes, the tune is very JB in style, even the riff is SO similar, so ending with that amazing clangerous chord seemed the right thing to do. Lol. Did you spot the Goldfinger motif in the coda? Bests Ian

Did you spot the Goldfinger motif in the coda? Just at about the 3:01 mark?

A cracker of a song and has survived some extreme interpretations. Devo, Australia's The Hitmen and many others have done decent to brilliant versions. I've not heard an instrumental version before,(Well, the Venture's version is fairly close to instrumental), and this is a good'un. . Well done. Going instrumental does give it a more Bond feel
The lead melody leans to the left in my headphones. Yeah, a few timing issues but, mostly, they add some personal phrasing to the tune. Cool.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
