K-POP is as much about the artist performance as it is about the song. That's one reason it is so popular.
The most popular K Pop group in the US is BTS. Some of the members speak English well. They are so popular they have been featured in television commercials.
Only the face looks Korean. Actually American.
Personally I just like the rhythm of the music. I am combining common sense with BIAB. A song that breaks the mold, not a loop. Use paragraphs. Some passages have obvious rhythm, and some passages enter the guitar and piano. At this time, the role of BIAB VST is reflected. So BIAB is the secret weapon.
SBmix. Heres a list of more “modern” styles i came across trolling through the bb Midi styles today…of which i have tons. You should have these in the stylepicker.
REMEMBER…the resulting songs and sound quality will depend on what you replace cheesy Midi sounds with. midi is just data. Ie your choice of plug ins ...RT’s and/or midi supertraks and/or synthfonts and/or vsti Instruments and sample libs you decide to use etc. CITYSLK+ DANCE4 Dance6 Drama+ GoodGrl+ Gwen1 HIPHOP4 JUSTIN1 PopHHop Reqiem+ Shiner -Shopin SlHard+ SOFTHART Tekambi TekBeat TekIndy Teklcd Top40HH Triphop1 Uplift+ UrbFolk+ USHR2
—-------------------------------------------------------- as you will see if you experiment with plug ins and the right arrangements...biab is very capable of produceing modern sounding songs. it all depends on the users strategic approach....at some point also explore what realband can do for you... features you wont find in other daw software. Hope it helps. Best om
SBmix. they are all in the midi styles in the bb stylepicker. om
Guitars are hardly included in KPOP. But I actually like the guitar very much. Therefore, when I use STYLEPICKER, I only watch the content of REALTRACKS. Because REALTRACKS are more suitable for guitar. It suddenly occurred to me that I've seen a lot of articles from people wanting to add MIDI content, and it's only now that I realize it. thank you. I hope one day, I will combine BIAB's guitar and KPOP's rhythm changes well.
SBmix. With that list of midi modern styles i listed you can substitute any instrument your heart desires. Not just RT guitars. Even off the wall sound samples like a moo cow sample played on a midi Keyboard. lol… Midi is just data. So its purely up to your imagination what you plug into The trak after choosing one of the styles i listed and setting out the chord sheet for your original Song. You have total flexibility…no limits to your imagination. Want to use a guitar RT ?...can do. Want to use a bassoon from an orchestral library ?…can do. Want to use a spaceship sound sample from a sample lib ?…can do. Want to use a rap like “i’m hip, gonna flip..yeh saw a hip spaceship”...can do. Want short orchestra hits ?...can do. Want harps ?...can do. Etc etc. ie no limits. What i might suggest is .. Choose one of the styles from the list… Lay out your song chords. Start plugging in rt’s and sample libs and whatever synth and other plug ins ya got Etc etc.

om, I have been doing that for years. I take a MIDI file from BiaB, drag it to my DAW, and do all of my changes there. I get out of GM sounds as soon as I can. YMMV
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
Now lets cover the real track styles you might be interested in:...in the modern idiom. ie a base you could build on and adapt to your creative needs. _Bister _Boomer _Bublegm3 _Bublpop _Cheeron _Chilhop _Chilpop Chimera _Cobble _Cooler _Dagger Dancep+ _Dncrck3 _Drmapop _Drumnbas _Dubsrck _Dubstpp _Elecpop _Eurodnc _Europop _Fnkdanc _Fnktech _Harphop _Honesty _Hophorn _Hushhop _Hvybeat _Kballad _Lasers _Mbubbly _Neonflr _Pianoln _Poprave _Sand+ _Scarce _Stark+ =Tek_e _Trncrok _80pbell
these are all real trak styles ive chosen in more the modern idiom. REMEMBER , experiment with different plug ins , and you can change anything you desire. all above are in the stylepicker. heres how i suggest you do things. 1.do your arrrange in the chord sheet FIRST. THEN.. 2. go to the stylepicker and choose each style in turn top to button ... PLAYING EACH STYLE AGAINST YOUR CHORD SHEET . NOTE THE PLAY BUTTON IN THE STYLEPICKER THAT ALLOWS THE STYLE TO PLAY BACK USEING YOUR CHORDS. 3. once you have found a style that works with your chord arrange in the chord sheet... THEN start experimenting on each trak with different instruments. VOILA !.. hope this helps. om

Thank you so much. These suggestions are fantastic.
I suddenly feel like I should install BIAB on 3 computers. There is one for listening style, one for REALTRACKS, and one for export production.
This way, there is no need to close the window back and forth.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
