Is there a drumpak I maybe do not have (happy to buy) that has specific 50's and 60's drums?
I've been through the Real Drums in BIAB, and there are some that are, well, passable, but not really there, so I thought there might be some I could buy from PG?
Thanks
EDIT: There are a couple of slow 50's type ones, but I am looking for up tempo Rock and Roll.
Thanks, yes I'd already been there. But nothing in the comments about the packs...it's why I was asking if someone knows there ARE some and in which pack they would be. Only need about three or four to be honest, as long as they are genuine 50's rock and roll beats.
I've been looking for MIDI Drum packs (maybe to use with Addictive Drums) as well, outside of BIAB, as in non-BIAB, and the cupboard is pretty much bare there as well!
Why not look for a style using a song to search for a style with similar to the drums styles you want. Then continue from there. There are many styles that go by different naming for example Surfing, or various country or rock styles rather than “Rock and Roll”. A drum style maybe close but not what you want then go to the drum track right click and use the RealDrums quick list. This offers a heap more ways to configure your drums. You should come very close to what you need.

+1 on that! There are few RDs that have that 60s vibe although Rock, Pop, Surf, and Nashville etc can give up some that will possibly do. Some however use far too much of that "sloshy" open hihat. A friend of mine, clued up on midi, has tried several times to make me drum tracks like the 60s records had. Whilst they were probably technically correct, they were essentially lifeless even with what he calls Humanising. One for the Wishlist? Bests Ian

They have a ton of MIDI drum loops and they all work very well in Addictive Drums. Groovemonkee loops come with many drum maps so you can use Addictive Drums in its native map or you can use it in GM drum mode. Be sure to listen to the demos. For instance some in the Blues Rock set can be used for 50's music.
Good luck.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thanks, but I have the full Groove Monkee library (the Mega Pack) and there is not really a lot there and I do not have the time to sift through thousands of beats because most would not be named close enough to warrant jumping to, meaning a forensic approach to trying every beat!!
It is a genre (upbeat swing/straight rock and roll) I thought for sure PG would have covered, but unfortunately not all 50's/60's is slow doo-wop
Might just have to resort to doing as suggested above and simply inspect every style in the rock and pop genres
I tend to mainly use RealDrums as I said earlier. There are just so many options. I agree the Ride is a bit too heavy for my taste. With the stems option, in so styles it is possible to reduce the overhead and room mics making things a little better. If you put the stems into a DAW it is possible to filter a bit.
If you look for “Rock and Roll” in RealDrums you will be limited but there are many more options.
I also have Addictive Drums (as well as several other midi drums). Once again a heap of choice if you look and in ADdict Drums it is very easy to manipulate stuff. AD also have MIDI packs dedicated to 50s and 60s. Most other Midi Drum VSTi programs offer a lot of flexibility and good sound.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
